Welcome to the digital version Of the Bikers Trading Post The Bikers Trading Post will now be published monthly as a digital magazine. We have been making some big changes. Now, instead of being a one man show, we're teaming up with others to make us more of a community magazine. This will let us cover more and publish a lot more of all the events that you are going to. We are a local publication and dealing with local happenings. Yes we will cover a few of the bigger shows that a lot of you follow but we understand you have no interest in a poker run in Kentucky. We will not be limited to the per page cost like in the normal printed publications. You can download the whole magazine and save it and you may take it to a printer and print part of it or all of it. The calendar is sideways in the view mode so you can print it to hang. Most of the articles will have links and they are in red and labeled. If you click on that link it will take you to the albums of photos or a video slide show from the event and you are welcome to right click in them to download and use for any noncommercial use. Please give us credit if you put them on your pages. You can take them and get prints of you and your friends if they were at one of the events that we covered. We have a facebook page that if you click on it will take you to a current list of the events that are happening in our area. https://www.facebook.com/thebikerstradingpost Please check it out and friend us, and please feel free to share anything on that page you want to. Now with that all being said this is a biker magazine. We are covering the bike life, style and events. We work hard to try and keep things clean but if something is happening in the background and we miss it, OH WELL. If you are offended by off color jokes and photos of people getting crazy and photos of girls on bikes you are at the wrong place. We are looking for people who go to a lot of the events and would like to do sales and also cover a few events. We are trying to keep the areas to about one county each, so after you get set up you could cover it in 2 or 3 days a month. We are offering a great sales incentive so if you are looking for a little money on the side please get in touch with us. We will also be looking for bikes to feature in the magazine along with models for on the bikes. This month we will not have listing of all of the up coming events. To find them we will have them updated almost daily at https://www.facebook.com/thebikerstradingpost On about once a week we up date the list on our smug page. The link to the new listing is always pinned to the top of our facebook page or you can go to our smug page https://thebikerstradingpost.smugmug.com/ and it will be listed under the date it was up loaded. We add a whole new page and delete the old one so you can not save the album link.

Once again I was invited by Rich Shira to the Blessing of the Bikes in downtown New Castle. This is a growing event that was started by Rich three years ago and continues to grow. This local event is sponsored by several different organizations including A.B.A.T.E. had an attendance of over 300 this year. To kick of the event Gary Hasson played Amazing Grace on the bagpipes. It was very interesting watching all of the bikers holding hands, making a circle around the diamond and up one block as Rich started off with a blessing over the crowd. Following that was a blessing by Bill Bloom, who I had the pleasure of meeting when he had ? Childs also known as The Machine Gun Preacher at his church in Alliquippa on Easter Sunday. It was then followed by a group of local pastors who made their way through the crowd blessing individual bikers and their rides. Music was also provided by The Good News Blues Band. You could not have asked for a nicer day to hang out with some old friends and to meet some new friends. One pair of bikers that I came across was Jack Armagost who brought his 18 year old grandson to his first blessing of the bikes. It is great to see the older generation teaching the younger generation the proper way to ride and I think Jack was more excited about the Sportster that Tyler was riding than the young man was.

One of the highlights was a booth set up on the corner by Pizza Man's Pizza. It has to be one of the best pizzas in Western Pa. It is always nice to see a really good group of people get together for an event like this. To see more of this event go to https://thebikerstradingpost.smugmug.com/New-Castle-Blessing/

Harley-Davidson of Erie BikeFest Harley Davidson of Erie has a unique event here in Western Pa. It is a week long line up of motorcycle related activities. They had many bands including UNORDAINED, SEAN PATRICK AND THE NEWGRASS REVOLUTION, NEXT OF KIN & CHRIS HIGBEE, GENEVA and KISS ARMY. There was food and beverages, bike related vendors, contests and a bunch of rides. This is happening in part during the Roar on the Shore and gives the people a lot more to do in the area. Harley-Davidson of Erie 3712 West 12th Street (Route 5) in Erie, Pa puts on a great event and I look at it and all of the events in Erie to grow.

BIKES, BREWS & BBQs BIKE NIGHT AT THE TIKI BAR Bike Night at the Tiki Bar. I was in the area and stopped at the Tiki Bar for their bike night. I was there right at the beginning and was surprised to see the early turnout. At 6 there were about 100 bikes and maybe 125 people. The band Walk Of Shame started up and was playing some real kick ass music. Then when you think things just couldn't get any better along comes the Coors Light girls Kara and Lori that were were supplied by Mirth Promotions. As always they were great. They helped with the events and voting for the prizes, and looked great. The highlight of the day there was the pig roast. I did not try it due to coming from a dinner meeting a little before, but everyone was saying about how good it was. If you ever get a chance to go down this is a great place to have a bike night. I had the opportunity to check out the First Annual Wesley s Warriors Memorial Ride. At the East Butler Fire Hall. It is always great to see so many good people getting together to help out with a great Cause. They labeled it as a Good old fashioned, red blooded American fundraiser . It was held to help raise money for the fight against childhood cancer in honor of Wesley Zablocki. All proceeds are to benefit CureSearch. Jim Wesley was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) when he was only in 2nd grade. He fought bravely for 4 years until he passed away on March 3, 2015. Wesley s parents, Ted & Nikki Zablocki have been big supporters of CureSearch, because having lived up close and personal with childhood cancer for four years, they saw firsthand that CureSearch was doing some amazing things in children s cancer research and is a great support for families in this situation. Wesley Zablocki

https://thebikerstradingpost.smugmug.com/Wesleys-Run-Photos/n-Hwj8zr/ Wesley was a boy scout in Troop 39 with his two best friends, our sons: Mike Davis and Jacob Campbell. After his passing at only 11 years old, his friends really wanted to do something memorable to honor him. The boys, who had already started working on their hiking merit badge, knew The Ultimate Hike is a big fundraiser that supports CureSearch (the foundation that was so important to Wesley s family), so hiking in honor of their friend just felt like the perfect fit. And, to top it off, the final requirement to get their hiking merit badge will be to complete a 20 mile hike in one day, which coincidently is exactly how long the Ultimate Hike is! Another classmate and friend of Wesley s, Amber Kozik, decided to join the boys on the hike in honor of Wesley. The three kids then had to convince us parents that they could and would train for the hike. And that they would work hard to raise the required $2,400 donation each. After seeing their determination, it was a pretty easy argument for them to make and we got on board with their plan. Jacob s dad Josh agreed to sign up for the hike, too, so we wouldn t be sending our kids out into the wilds of West Virginia unsupervised. Then, we started brainstorming ways to raise the funds. We had to go with what we knew. Both the Campbell and the Davis families are avid motorcyclists, so Josh came up with the idea of doing a charity poker run. We gathered friends, family, and fellow bikers to plan and organize the event.

On Saturday, there were close to 100 motorcyclists, plus approximately 50 family & friends. All together, we raised $8,000! The bars who sponsored the stops along the route were The River s Bend in East Brady, Otto s in Emlenton, The Beer Garden in Boyers. Otto s also fed all the participants a free lunch. The Sunset Riders MC of Butler were a huge help by handling registration and poker hands. The members of East Butler Fireman s Club were very generous to allow us to use their facilities and prepare dinner for all the participants. I can t even begin to list all the businesses and individuals who donated prizes for the Chinese Auction Raffle. There were 50 really great prizes, including a weekend get-away to Foxburg, a shotgun, an autographed game-worn Steelers helmet, and the big prize, an AR-15! Article submitted by Jenny Davis.

Here are a couple pictures of the three kids who inspired this ride. The kids, Left to Right in the picture: Mike Davis, Amber Kozik, Jacob Campbell. All are 12 years old. It is great to see the effort that these young people come to such a great success and I am sure this will be an event that will grow. Once again Congratulations on such a great run. Thunder In The Burg What a crazy weekend of events in Western Pa. on the weekend of July 11th and 12th. There was no lack of events in the Western Pa. area. I had 20 different events listed on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/thebikerst radingpost I managed to make it to the 9th Annual Thunder in the Burg put on by Lawrence County A.B.A.T.E. in downtown West Pittsburgh on Saturday. The weather was perfect and the location works great for this event. The crowd was good and this event has to have the friendliest group of any event that I attend. They really make you feel like family. It was non stop entertainment with live bands all day, some awesome food, vendors. Prizes, a cornhole tournament and a dunking booth that had the Miller girls. The bands were all good but Triad really played the music that interested me and sounded great doing it. They played a lot of the Jefferson Airplane, The Mamas & The Papas, The Grateful Dead and Neil Young just to name a few. This is one of the events where you can just stop by, eat, drink and be entertained while hanging out with some really good people.

I met Samantha a while back and when she heard I was looking for someone with tattoos she got in touch with me. If you would like to see her as a feature model on a bike here please e-mail us or if you have some great ink please let us know. thebikerstradingpost@gmail.com I ask her what is the meaning behind any of them?? Well my main big tattoo (the angel wings) are for my father who passed away when I was 9. They are also a cover up of two tattoos done by my ex which I didn't like. All the cheetah print are for him as well because he called me his little cheetah. The YJ front end on my hip is for one of my best friends who passed away, Neil Bauer, he loved them and we always talked about me "upgrading my Barbie jeep for one." The one above that it is my son, Bentley's, footprint he was my saving grace & he always pushed on that side of my ribs. The cross on my wrist is for my faith & for a pastor that I knew who passed away from cancer we all got it to remember him. "Promise", on my pinky is for pinky promises, I make them and always keep them. The crown on my upper chest is for my nickname "princess." Who did them? My back was done by Jeremy from Artistic dermagraphics in Boardman, Ohio. My jeep & foot print were done by Mike Sinibaldi out of Ellwood city, PA. The cheetah print on my chest & hip were done by Bruce from Longshot tattoo in Slippery Rock, PA. Both of my wrist were done by Johnny Salsano in New Castle, PA. And the crown was done when I was on vacation down south. What was your first and what is your favorite tattoo? I would say my two on my back that are covered up now by the wings. My favorite that is hard to say my first favorite is my back I get a lot of compliments on it, the other two would be my jeep and my foot print ones. Do you plan on more??Of course they are so addicting. I do want to start more on my side piece. What do you do with modeling and what are your plans to do?I do some here and there. I just recently got more work. I mainly shoot with David Vickers out of Boardman, Ohio. I would love to do more work. I have expanded my work. My main goal is to be on Sports Illustrated or Victoria's Secret. I am always open for more work.

Humor to relieve stress

Humor to relieve stress

The Bikers Trading Post

A biker stops by the local Harley Shop to have his bike fixed. They couldn't do it while he waited, so he said he didn't live far and would just walk home. On the way home he stopped at the hardware store and bought a bucket and an anvil. He stopped by the feed store/livestock dealer and picked up acouple of chickens and a goose. However, struggling outside the store he now had a problem: how to carry all of his purchases home.

While he is scratching his head he was approached by a little old lady who told himshe was lost. She asked, "Can you tell me how to get to 1603 Mockingbird Lane?" The biker said, "Well, as a matter of fact, I live at 1616 Mockingbird Lane. I would walk you home but I can't carry this lot." The old lady suggested, "Why don't you put the anvil in the bucket, carry the bucket in one hand, put a chicken under each arm and carry the goose in the other hand?" "Why thank you very much," he said and proceeded to walk the old girl home.

On the way he says, "Let's take my shortcut and go down this alley. We'll be there in no time."The little old lady looked him over cautiously then said, "I am a lonely widow without a husband to defend me. How do I know that when we get in the alley you won't hold me up against the wall, pull up my skirt, and ravish me?"

The biker said, "Holy smokes lady! I am carrying a bucket, an anvil, two chickens and a goose. How in the world could I possibly hold you up against the wall and do that?" The lady replied, "Set the goose down, cover him with the bucket, put the anvil on top of the bucket and I'll hold the chickens."

I want to thank Thomas "Goose" Kleean for bringing out his 2000 Moto Guzzi California Bassa. All stock except a few miscellaneous things. Goose is always willing to supply bikes as long as we keep supplying the hot models. On the day he brought this one down there was a huge thunder storm but that didn’t stop him. Thanks again! Go here for the slideshow of her shoot https://thebikerstradingpost.smugmug.com/April-SS2/nQ2CTPM/

Humor torelieve relieve Humor to stress A visit to See St. Peter A guy is at the Pearly Gates, hoping to be admitted, and St. Peter says to the guy, "I can't see that you did anything really good in your life, but you never did anything bad either. I tell you what, if you can tell me one really good deed that you did, you're in." So the guy says, "Once I was driving down the road and saw a gang of bikers assaulting this poor girl. So I pulled over, got out my car, grabbed a tire iron and walked straight up to the gang's leader--a huge ugly guy with a studded leather jacket, bald head but with hair all over his body, and a chain running from his nose to his ear. Undaunted, I ripped the chain out of his nose and ear and smashed him over the head with the tire iron. Then I turned around and, wielding my tire iron, yelled to the rest of them, 'You leave this poor, innocent lady alone! You're all a bunch of sick, deranged animals! Go home before I teach you all a lesson in pain!'" Impressed, St. Peter says, "Really? I can't seem to find this in your file. When did this happen?" "Oh, about two minutes ago."

George the Mailman It was George the Mailman's last day on the job after 35 years of carrying the mail through all kinds of weather to the same neighborhood. When he arrived at the first house on his route, he was greeted by the whole family who congratulated him and sent him on his way with a tidy gift envelope. At the second house, they presented him with a box of fine cigars. The folks at the third house handed him a selection of terrific fishing lures. At the fourth house, he was met at the door by a strikingly beautiful woman in a revealing negligee. She took him by the hand, gently led him through the door, which she closed behind him, and took him up the stairs to the bedroom where she blew his mind with the most passionate love he had ever experienced. When he had enough, they went downstairs and she fixed him a giant breakfast: eggs, potatoes, ham, sausage, blueberry waffles, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. When he was truly satisfied, she poured him a cup of steaming coffee. As she was pouring, he noticed a dollar bill sticking out from under the cup's bottom edge. "All this was just too wonderful for words," he said, "But what's the dollar for?" "Well," she said, "Last night, I told my husband that today would be your last day, and that we should do something special for you. I asked him what to give you. He said, ' Screw him. Give him a dollar.'

21st Annual 21st Annual

Thunder in the Cascades Thunder in the Cascades June 24,25,26,27,28, 2015 June 24-28, 2015

The 21st annual Thunder in the Cascades was a lot of fun and a great success. I can not believe that it has already been twenty one years. This year they ran into that same problems that so many of the other events have, it is called RAIN. As they labeled it It was a Record Breaking Thunder in the Cascades - or as it is now known- "ThunderRainfest 2015". In 21 years, we have never had four inches of rainfall during the event! On the upside - it wasn't snow or there would have been 40 inches of it! . Through out it all most people had a great time. A few tents were lost in the storms but I don't think they found anyone floating down any of the local rivers. If there is a will there is a way and they managed to pull off most of the events. The bike show and the bike games were moved inside to the big barn and created a lot of fun for the participants and the spectators. The wet T-Shirt contests were held in the grand stand and the sky cleared up for both of them and the bands were under cover. As always they had a great selection of bands starting on Wednesday with US 4 Now. Other bands were Juvenile Characteristics, Sofa King Cool Band, the always anticipated Hern Brothers. They had 12 Gauge Justice there for the first time and this band really kicked ass with probably the biggest crowd I have seen for an afternoon show. Everything finished up Saturday night with the Ozone Rangers on stage. As always there was a lot of fun to be had and they made it all happen. To keep informed of the happenings for next year (hopefully without so much rain) check out their web site.
