The Bikers Trading Post May 2006

Page 1

Welcome to the digital version of The Bikers Trading Post The Bikers Trading Post is now being published monthly as a digital magazine. We have been making some big changes. Now, instead of being a one man show, we're teaming up with others to make us more of a community magazine. This will let us cover more and publish a lot more of all the events that you are going to. We are a local publication and dealing with local happenings. Yes, we will cover a few of the bigger shows that a lot of you follow but we understand you have no interest in a poker run in Kentucky. We will not be limited to the per page cost like in the normal printed publications. You can download the whole magazine and save it and you may take it to a printer and print part of it or all of it. This month we are putting in two calendars, one vertical and one horizontal. Most of the articles will have links and they are in red and labeled. If you click on that link it will take you to the albums of photos or a video slideshow from the event and you are welcome to right click in them to download and use for any non-commercial use. Please give us credit if you put them on your pages. You can take them and get prints of you and your friends if they were at one of the events that we covered. We have a facebook page that if you click on it will take you to a current list of the events that are happening in our area. At this time we have listed over 415 events past and present for 2015 in Western Pa. https://www.facebook.com/thebikerstradingpost Please check it out and friend us, and please feel free to share anything on that page you want to. Now with that all being said this is a biker magazine. We are covering the bike life, style and events. We work hard to try and keep things clean but if something is happening in the background and we miss it, OH WELL. If you are offended by off color jokes and photos of people getting crazy and photos of girls on bikes you are at the wrong place.

Rambling Thoughts Now that we are in the month of May things are looking up. April was a slow month with no big shows and weather that you just could not depend on. I made it to several bike blessings and a couple runs but weather took a toll on some of the events. The days are getting longer so the sun is out a little longer making the Bike Nights grow in the area. I am working on a list of all the Western Pa Bike Nights and if you would like to be on that list in our web page and on the Facebook page please let me know. I am talking to a lot of the people that are putting on different events in this area and I am getting excited for the summer to be here. The weather plays a big part in how we feel. When you have one day at 75 outside and the next day it is 55 it brings on a little bit of depression. Just think if it was that temp. out in February you would be very happy. We are read by more people than any printed motorcycle magazine covered in Western Pennsylvania. We are growing because we are local people, doing for the local people. Follow us on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/thebikerstradingpost and we will be releasing our other social media pages. Thank you Barbie for your help. On to the future. If you are running a non-profit event, we will be happy to post your information for free. Please get a hold of us on that for more information. Last on the list, summer is coming, and we are thrilled to be able to come to as many events as we can. If you would like to have us at your event, please let us know. We will be happy to do whatever we can to cover it. I am sorry but we are limited to how many events we can cover on a day. If you would like to be published and cover events yourself, please let us know. Also, if you have a bike that you would like featured, or are a model who would like to be featured, please let us know.

Anyone that is going to an event and wants to share it with us please e-mail us at thebikerstradingpost@gmail.com. If you Happy riding and keep the wheels on the ground. would like to join us in sales, covering events and getting published please let us know. thebikerstradingpost@gmail.com

There were about 60 bikes that showed up on this cold April morning with a 9AM breakfast to keep everyone warm. BikePAC is a Political Action Committee for Bikers. They fight for the rights of all Pa. Motorcyclists. It was great to see a well organized run with the people thinking about safety first. You can see all the photos here and can down load them for personal use. https://thebikerstradingpost.smugmu g.com/Bike-PAC/n-4Qr4z3/

A special thank you to the Murrrysville Fire Department for supplying us with the photos from the ladder truck. You can download the photos we took for free here. MURRYSVILLR BIKE BLESSING PHOTOS

I had the opportunity to attend the 20th Blessing of the Bikes at the Murrysville Alliance Church on April 17th. There were an estimated 15,000 people attended and with my uneducated guess at least 5,000 bikes. The blessing was preformed by Pastor Dan with special tributes to our veterans. The blessing was finished up with a 21 second ROAR as every one started their bikes and revved them for 21 seconds. It was by far the largest of this type of event that I have ever been to. They were able to line all the streets in the area and also fill up many of the local parking lots. The weather was perfect so that helped to bring out the crowd.

This was a slow month for motorcycle events. Everyone is hesitant to plan anything this early in the year, due to unpredictable weather. In the beginning of April we had cold days, filled with rain and even snow showers. But we were all blessed on the 24th, when the community got to enjoy a perfect day for the annual Blessing of the Bikes, held in downtown New Castle. There wasn t a cloud in the sky, and more than 800 motorcyclists enjoyed the warm, sunny weather to start off their motorcycle season. Rich Shira of the organization Bikers United is no newbie to this event, and has been organizing it for several years, with more and more success and growth every year. We got there early, and had time to walk through the vendors and mingle with the crowd, to talk with people about what s happening. For many people, this marks the beginning of their season, and they were reconnecting after not seeing each other in the off season. Tons of people discussed modifications they made to their bikes over the winter, and how excited they are to be back out on the road. While we walked around talking to people we started hearing people commenting with amazement about how there were 300, then 400 bikes and they just kept coming. The number and variety of bikes was simply astounding. At most events you see a lot of show bikes, where people haul them around from event to event, but here we saw bikes with people who really ride. There were plenty of fancy bikes, brand new and shiny, with custom paint jobs and fresh chrome put on over the winter. But the bikes of the people who ride day in and day out, people sporting pins and stickers from multiple blessings in past years were present, as well. There were trikes, set up for older folks who can no longer ride on two wheels, and there were bikes with dings and scratches, signs of use and close calls. It s a nice change, to see real world bikes that are actually used, bikes that have thousands of miles put on them, instead of display pieces that are more a work of art.

There were a few vendors of charitable organizations present. The guys from the Pine Valley Camp were talking to people about the 3rd Annual Ride for Hope, Healing and a Future, a benefit run that tours 95 miles through Western Pennsylvania on May 21st. There were also representatives from ABATE and Dallas Hartman, two groups that are always active in the community to support local bikers, and there was plenty of food available for anyone who came hungry. At 3:00, Rich called everyone in for the main event. The entire crowd gathered around for the real purpose of the event, the blessing of the bikes. The blessing began with a moment of silence for fallen riders. Among other lost members of our community, people were asked to remember Dan Gallatin, a Scott Township firefighter who was struck and killed by a careless driver who was texting. He called on everyone to be aware that the fine for texting while driving is only $50, and that the fine is the worst punishment most people receive, and that ABATE has been working to change this. After the moment of silence, Ted Walker led with a beautiful rendition of the national anthem, and the crowd received a blessing by Reverend Bill Blume, where he asked that everyone be kept safe on the roads this year, and that the only breakdowns happen in driveways instead of along the side of a highway. After the formal blessing there were individual blessings held over single bikes and groups of riders and bikes together, and as these blessings happened, riders began to take off, to enjoy the road on the unseasonably warm April day.

Amanda Elizabeth I got to know Amanda through a friend of mine a little while back. Donald Keys has used her as a model several times and had photographed her to be published in a magazine called The Definition. I had always hoped to get a chance to photograph her. I had wanted to meet with Kenny Strum from www.eriebikersphotos.com and ask if he had a location in his area that we could shoot a bike. He not only found a location at Off Road Express and they let us pick any bike that we wanted to use. Kenny is the director of the Erie Chapter Hog Owners Group and also a photographer so he assisted me with this shoot. We chose a new Honda Fury that had a matte paint due to the many colors of reflection there were the location that we shot. You can download and print the calendar page HERE.

Humor to relieve stress Wife Swapping With A Martian A Martian couple and an Earthling couple have met and are talking about all sorts of things. Finally, the subject of sex comes up. "Just how do you guys do it?" asked the Earthling. "Pretty much the way you do," responded the Martian. Discussion ensues and finally the couples decide to swap partners for the night and experience one another. The female Earthling and the male Martian go off to a bedroom where the Martian strips. He's got only a teeny, weeny member; very short and very narrow. "What can you do with THAT!?" exclaims the woman. "Why?" he asked, "What's the matter?" "Well," she replied, "it's nowhere near long enough. It'll never reach!" "No problem," he said and proceeded to slap his forehead with his palm. With each slap of his forehead, his member grew until it was quite impressively long. "Well," she said. "That's quite impressive, but it's still pretty narrow." "No problem," he said again and started pulling his ears. With each pull his member grew wider and wider until the entire measurement was extremely exciting to the woman. "Wow!" she exclaimed as they fell into bed and made mad, passionate love. The next day the couples rejoined their normal partners and went off together. As they walked along the Earthling male said, "Well, was it any good?" "I hate to say it," she said, "but it was really wonderful. How about you?" "Well," he said, "It was the weirdest thing. She kept slapping me on the forehead and pulling my ears all night."

Sex in the Law Firm A young associate was romantically ambushed in a darkened room of the law firm. After months of the social isolation that comes from eighty hour work weeks, the associate was happy to reciprocate. However, when asked by a friend to identify the lover, the associate was puzzled. "All I know for sure is that it was a partner -- I had to do all the work."

Humor to relieve relieve Humor to stress The Drunken Cowboy One night a lone cowboy rode into a small town. He immediately went to the only saloon in town and ordered a drink. While drinking he asked the bartender if there was a room and any women around. The bartender told him he had a room for rent and then glanced over to his friends drinking at another table. They decided to play a joke on the cowboy. As the evening drug on, the cowboy became very drunk but was still asking about a woman. Finally the bartender sent his friends upstairs on a mission and they returned shortly. Then the bartender told the cowboy that they only had one woman there but she was upstairs waiting on him. (the bartender's friends had carried a blow-up doll upstairs and placed her in his bed) At this point the cowboy bid everyone good night and slowly climbed the stairs. Filled with anticipation he approached the room and went inside as the men downstairs listened with great interest. After a few moments, they heard the bed springs squeaking and moans of pleasure coming from the room The roared with laughter. Then everything was quiet. Not beinging able to sleep with anticipation of the coming morning, the men decided to play poker through the night and await the man coming down the next morning. As he came down the stairs, they noticed a strange look on his face. They asked: "Well, cowboy, how was the woman." He hestitated, then answered: "Man, that was the best piece of ass I ever had, but the strangest thing happened." After I screwed her i bit her on the titty and she farted and flew out the window and I haven't seen her since.
