Alumna Donor Judith Daynard Boies ’59 I never knew how important Barnard was to my life until years after graduation, when I sensed myself becoming the person my professors had seemed to believe in. They inspired me then, and now I can truly value the role they played in my education and my life. I spent my career as a trusts and estates attorney advising and guiding my clients to create plans that carry out their goals—the financial ones, of course, but also the ones that address other important priorities, like having an impact on the causes they care about. When it was my turn, I decided to include Barnard in my estate plan because I believe strongly in the

College, and because doing so enables me to make a far more significant gift than I could comfortably make now.
