BRIBIE EVACUATION CENTRE VMR Bribie assisted MBRC in manning the Evacuation Centre at the Recreation Centre on First Avenue – requiring 3 volunteers for 3 shifts per day Sunday 27th Feb to Tuesday 1st March. CONGRATULATIONS JIM BROWN With all the craziness going on the past week, and the lack of internet we haven’t had time to congratulate Jim Brown for receiving his rank of Coxswain. Congratulations Jim
Saturday 19th Feb 2022 was a beautiful morning for boaties to be on the water, and it seemed everyone decided Tangalooma was the place to be, it was a challenging assist to manoeuvre to the beach area to access the stricken jet ski, with boats and swimmers everywhere. This was the third assist of the morning…. Pre-brief of trainees by Coxswain Ces before launch.
Monday 21st Feb 2022 - Bribie 1 and crew took 5 lovely nurses and all their medical gear over to Tangalooma to conduct vaccinations for staff and guests they will stay overnight, and Bribie 1 will pick them up at midday tomorrow. Not a bad place to have to go for work. Post exercise and debrief by Coxswains Ces Luscombe and Graham Parker.
Beware there is still a lot of debris in the Pumicestone Passage and Moreton Bay White Saturday crew pulled this tree branch from the water just off Bongaree.
