Here we are at Volume #36. 13 years down, and still every single Editor’s Note is the very last thing I write when preparing the magazine. Waiting for exactly what I want to say to you, dear readers, to strike me like lightening. This time, the chief thing that springs to mind is simply that I'm so very glad you're here. To the newly engaged, commencing the exciting journey of planning your wedding, welcome! If you’re here because you’ve been putting off this task, as the enormity of it has overwhelmed you till now and it’s time to get serious about wedding planning, don’t worry - we’re going to make this fun and stress-free with a little help from me and my friends in the industry. To the vendors, who come here to be inspired by what your peers have lately produced, your love of all things wedding too strong to keep you away, I understand - hey, me too! And even to those who aren’t in the industry, you’re not even

engaged yet, you simply come to dream - I see you, and when you jump into my DMs to confess this, you make my day! #36 has reignited my passion for weddings and publishing. I’ve worked with the most incredibly inspiring people on this one - from the professionals who collectively brought my vision for our styled shoot to life to the contributors, and the one person who deserves more praise and gratitude than I can even put into words - Andrea Williams. We have worked together for 15 years. She’s my graphic designer, treasured friend, and she’s responsible for the stunning all-new branding and design of this magazine and The Bride’s Tree website. Making your engagement shoot all about your vibes as a couple is worth taking some care in achieving with just a few simple choices. Choose your location, outfit style, and talk to your photographer about the feeling you want to evoke when you look at your images in the future. For Jess and Jayden, they decided to shoot in their home with a distinctly intimate feel, which was captured effortlessly by Carissa from Elk & Fir, who is not only a wedding photographer, but specialises in boudoir portraits. After all the bedroom and kitchen floor smooches, they migrated to their beloved converted van, in which they spend many a weekend on spontaneous road trips. Snuggling up at twilight is just so them, and the cute cosy vibes definitely translate in these images.

On their wedding day, Jess and Jayden’s’ personalities shone through yet again super cool, and oh so much love.
