The uniquely 21st century concepts of luxury and safety live comfortably side by side in the design of a strikingly picturesque new residential development in the City of South Perth. Paradiso Apartments, situated at 8 Henley Street, Como, are just that – pure paradise!

From the incomparable riverside location overlooking some of South Perth’s most iconic landmarks to the styling sophistication,

THE TEAM Photos INGWE CAPITAL / IN & OUT PLASTERING quality and attention to detail, every aspect of this development has been designed with a strong focus on luxury and liveability.

Each of the 51 spacious apartments is perfectly appointed, with quality finishes and remarkable attention to detail. Featuring the perfect curation of interior finishes and first class amenities, Paradiso offers residents unparalleled quality, style and comfort.

A Design and Construct project by Pyramid Constructions (WA) Pty Ltd for property developer Ingwe Capital Group, Paradiso Apartments represents a level of living that is at once fabulous and functional.

“Although the property could accommodate more than 80 apartments, we designed the development with a view to an easyliving, spacious environment with only 51 larger apartments, including a significant proportion of three-bedroom apartments,” says Ingwe Capital director John Vickers.

Unrivalled lifestyle Situated within walking distance to the water, close to the confluence of the Canning and Swan rivers, Paradiso offers an unrivalled lifestyle in a legendary Perth location with breathtaking river and city views.

The eight-storey residential block is surmounted by a rooftop terrace with a grandstand view of the Perth’s two premier waterways. Stunning 180 degree views afford breathtaking vistas of the Canning Bridge, the elegant Raffles Hotel and the South of Perth Yacht Club to the Swan River and CBD beyond.

Lush gardens, a creeper-covered pergola and stylish seating and dining zones make the terrace – which is open to all residents – the perfect place to relax at sunset with family or friends.

The rooftop terrace is not the only space from which to view the stunning scenery: the relaxed, outdoor lifestyle for which Perth is justly famous may also be enjoyed on the balconies opening off the main living areas and master bedrooms of the individual apartments. These generously-proportioned spaces can accommodate seating and dining zones for the ultimate in private outdoor entertaining.

Blend of opulence and utility The interiors of the boutique apartments have been designed to enable a maximum amount of natural light to flood through the windows, with spacious rooms, high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors helping to create the perfect blend of opulence and utility. Even the bedroom windows reach up to the ceiling, drawing in as much of the natural light and sweeping views as possible.

The expansive living area in each apartment is a masterpiece of open concept living, the design optimising every centimetre of space in the main living area and allowing stunning views from the well-appointed kitchen to the rear. Ceiling-height wood-grained upper cabinets visually anchor the kitchen, warming the cool whites of the units below and bracketing the space.

The fresh, airy palette continues into the main living zone, enhancing the sense of space and light, while the neutral tones on walls and floors afford a grounding context for the splashes of bright colours in the furnishings.

Transport, recreation access Residents will have excellent access to transport links to the city and the south – an important advantage for commuters – as well as shopping facilities and an abundant choice of local coffee shops, eateries and high quality restaurants.

Only a few blocks away is Neil McDougall Park, with its picturesque circular lake that is home to waterfowl, turtles and

other wildlife, its meandering pathways, shady trees and wellmaintained family-friendly playground.

Risk management benchmark The dual emphasis on sumptuousness and safety take 21st century living in a new direction, with risk-management amenities in the public areas and, in individual apartments, dedicated spaces which make it easy to work from home should the need – or preference – arise.

And with built-in risk-management features and facilities for special-needs occupants, Paradiso has raised the bar to cater to a much wider range of potential occupants than most other residential complexes.

Appointed as the architect by Pyramid, Duomark has taken special care to approach the multi-residential development from the baseline of research and data on the Covid-19 pandemic.

Pyramid, together with the project team, incorporated the selection of components which contribute to effective risk management of communal areas. For example, they specified touchless lifts and automated doors to all common areas, as well as work-from-home facilities.

In a move destined to be replicated in future cutting-edge residential developments, a number of NDIS-certified units designed to accommodate residents of varying special need requirements has also been included in the build. The accommodation is suitable for fully accessible independent living as well as individuals requiring high physical support.

The composite external structural walls utilised core-filled Versaloc block work, a building material with several benefits: construction can proceed at a faster pace and results in a cleaner work site.

“It is worth noting that Paradiso is the largest and tallest Versaloc structure in Western Australia,” says Pyramid director Anthony Chillino.

Cemintel FC cladding was installed to achieve a textured, noncombustible timber-look façade.

Developer Ingwe Capital, which is responsible for the overall management of the project, expects the apartment complex to be ready for occupation by late September 2021.

With most of the living units already sold off the plan, Paradiso’s utopian design is a clear winner with prospective residents and investors alike.
