10 Years Together
Take a light-hearted journey through the creation of a theatre production from start to finish, writing to auditions, rehearsals to first performance. Enjoy an evening packed with music, drama, comedy and nostalgia as we celebrate putting it together for a full ten years! This specially crafted performance will weave together songs and scenes from well-loved shows, present amusing advice from playwrights and directors, and let you in on what really happens behind the scenes at Carriageworks Theatre. Join us for a night overflowing with story, song, dance and laughter.

Carriageworks Theatre turns 10!
Children of all ages are invited to a Millennium Room party to pass the parcel and play dress up. Don’t forget to bring your teddy bear to the picnic at noon for a chance to win a family ticket to our Christmas pantomime Aladdin.

An exciting new production from Carriageworks Young Theatre Makers made especially for the 10th anniversary. 10 scenes set in the same room, on the same day, once a year for 10 years. What changes for the characters, what stays the same? What keeps happening over and over again?

Carriageworks Storytelling Tour
Not your ordinary guided tour! This interactive wander into the lesser-known nooks and crannies of our half modern half Victorian venue will be led by your very own storyteller, regaling you with (mostly) true tales of Carriageworks Theatre past and present. Visit behind the scenes of this eclectic venue, learn the history of the whole Electric Press and meet some of the more unusual past residents. Note: Some parts of the venue are only accessible by stairs. Please let us know if you have any mobility issues when booking.

Workshops
Devising Theatre with The Paper Birds: 1pm Discover how to build a piece of theatre up from just an idea using movement and text. A great first taste of devising, particularly suitable for teenagers and young adults.
5 Senses of Theatre with Interplay: 10am Explore how all five of your senses can be used to bring theatre to life.
Introduction to Puppet Manipulation with Odd Doll: 2pm Build your own puppet and learn techniques puppeteers use to bring them to life.
Leeds based professional companies are running free workshops all day. Each workshop is free and runs for 2 hours. Please book your place in advance via the Box Office.
Suitable for all ages and learning abilities. Make Your Own Animal Puppet with Odd Doll: 11am Learn how to make your own rod puppets and participate in a musical animal parade! Suitable for children and families.
Suitable for teens and adults. Songs of Solidarity with Red Ladder: 4pm Sing-along with Artistic Director Rod Dixon and Musical Director Beccy Owen as they fire your blood with their favourite political songs and theatrical work.
