Two Window with Opaque Shades
The second adaptive strategy that my room employed is a series of shades, freely adjusted to fully cover the two windows. As shown in the diagrams below, when both shades are closed, the illuminance level in the room drops significantly, only a trail of light remains along the edge of the room due to reflected light-rays. This hypothesis is corroborated by the slight decrease in temperature when the shades are deployed.

Conclusion: The well considered placement of windows, in combination of the shades, allows the room to minimally achieve comfort.
