About the Center A home for world-class performances, the Center for the Performing Arts is a nonprofit educational, arts, and cultural organization that operates a three-venue performing arts campus in Carmel, Indiana. The campus opened in 2011 and features the Palladium, an acoustically magnificent 1,600-seat concert hall; the Tarkington, a 500-seat proscenium theater; and the 200-seat, multiconfigurational Studio Theater. The Center hosts more than 400 events each year, ranging from professional and community performances to business meetings to weddings. The Center has become the place where artists want to perform, people want to work, and the entire community is welcome to gather and celebrate. It is home to the affiliated Great American Songbook Foundation and is the performance home for six resident companies: Actors Theatre of Indiana, Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre, Carmel Symphony Orchestra, Central Indiana Dance Ensemble, Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre, and Indiana Wind Symphony. The Center offers a wide variety of education and outreach experiences for children and adults of all ages. Growing in stature as a tourism destination, it has drawn patrons from all 92 Indiana counties, 50 states and 23 countries. Hospitality With its unsurpassed acoustics and majestic interiors, the Palladium is the perfect setting for your next special event. The available spaces range from elegant lobbies to private rooms, each with its own décor and ambience. Our rooms are ideal for board meetings, corporate retreats, team-building events, holiday parties, and other events. For late summer events, make a special impression on your clients, employees or friends with the Palladium’s Festival Floor. Installed at stage level, above the permanent seating, this state-of-theart event staging surface offers over 4,000 square feet for dances, award ceremonies, wedding receptions, fundraising events and more.
