CELEBRATION 2023
THE CENTER PRESENTED BY
THE CENTER PRESENTED BY
Dear Friends,
Welcome to the Center Celebration 2023, the premier annual fundraising event supporting the Center for the Performing Arts. We’re so glad you could join us as we gather to celebrate and amplify the impact of the Center’s arts and educational programming in our community.
As always at the Center, we’ll enjoy world-class entertainment and hospitality this evening with host Michael Feinstein, including sumptuous food and drink, a performance by the one and only Amy Grant, and three after-parties featuring top local musicians.
We also will learn more about the Center’s education and outreach initiatives, including newer programs such as the Prism Project arts camp for youth with disabilities, the free Student Matinees offered to local school groups, the Transportation Grant Program that makes field trips more affordable for schools, and the New Works commission project that supports local artists.
None of this work is possible without generous partners, donors and patrons like you. Your presence here, your auction purchases and your other financial contributions directly fuel the Center’s mission: to engage and inspire the Indiana community through enriching arts experiences.
We offer special thanks to our presenting partner, Ice Miller, as well as First Merchants Bank and our additional partners for the evening.
Have a wonderful evening!
Sincerely,
Jeff and Shari Worrell Adam Arceneaux Gala Committee Co-ChairsFERNANDO SERPA AND FRIENDS

The mission of the Center for the Performing Arts is to engage and inspire the Indiana community through enriching arts experiences.
The Center for the Performing Arts is a nonprofit arts and education organization responsible for the operation and programming of a three-venue campus at Carmel’s City Center. Together, the 1,500seat Palladium, the 500-seat Tarkington and the black box Studio Theater create a welcoming environment for the regional community to experience and participate in all forms of the performing arts.
Each year, the Center Presents performance season offers more than 50 concerts and other events in the fields of pop, rock, jazz, classical, country, comedy, family programming and more. The Center also provides space, ticketing and support services for six Resident Companies: Actors Theatre of Indiana, Carmel Symphony Orchestra, Central Indiana Dance Ensemble, Civic Theatre, Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre and Indiana Wind Symphony. Campus facilities are available for rental events, including performances, corporate meetings, weddings and other social occasions.

Since opening in 2011, the Center has hosted over 3,100 performances for 1.3 million patrons representing all 92 counties in Indiana, all 50 states and 30-plus nations. The campus also welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors each year for public events such as the Carmel Farmers Market and the holiday Christkindlmarkt. The Center is a key component of Carmel’s arts-based economic development strategy.
The Center’s education and outreach initiatives include programs for children and families, such as the interactive Peanut Butter & Jam concert series for preschoolers, the Palladium PALS reading club, educational videoconferences for students around the state, and our Student Discount Ticket program, through which students can attend performances for just $15. Programs for adults include military discounts, the Palladium Bookies reading club, the Luminaries weekday speaker series, and classes in vocal performance, dance, stand-up comedy and ukulele.
The Center’s sister organization, the Great American Songbook Foundation, is based at the Palladium with a mission to inspire and educate by celebrating America’s timeless popular music. A Cultural Affiliate of the
