Tissot Seastar 1000 Professional In-depth excellence

In 2019, the most robust and secure Tissot watch was launched in an uncompromising environment. A limited edition of 1,000, the Tissot Seastar 1000 Professional fully satisfies the criteria of the ISO 6425 standard governing professional diving watches. All the conditions specified by the standard are validated by this all-steel automatic chronograph: it resists a magnetic field of 4,800 A/m and lateral impacts, including on its crowns and push-buttons. It is equipped with a luminescent small second hand and revolving bezel that can be locked into place. Although its water resistance is guaranteed up to 300 metres (or 1,000 feet, the reason behind its name), the ISO 6425 standard demands resistance of up to 375 metres in depth. Challenge accepted! Patented security The Tissot Seastar 1000 Professional also has a helium valve at 10 o’clock. It is automatically opened to expel excess air and helium that are trapped in the case and dilated when coming up from a very deep saturation dive. It is integrated into the secondary crown that secures the bezel. Once screwed down, the 60-minute graduated ring is locked into the defined position. This guarantees that the chosen immersion time cannot be inadvertently or accidentally changed during the dive. This combination of functions is unique and protected by a Tissot patent. The Tissot Seastar 1000 Professional comes with a steel bracelet with three links, burnished in the centre and buffed to a satin finish on the sides. It is closed by a folding clasp specially designed for diving purposes. It has push-buttons, a safety feature and rapid extension, doing away with the need for fussy resizing, when worn over a diving suit. The watch is delivered with a second black rubber strap with ribbed interior and steel pin buckle for more sporty, casual wear. To switch easily from one to another, without tools, Tissot has fitted these clasps with a rapid-lock fixing system. It is all delivered in a dedicated watchcase made in neoprene, identical to the material used to make diving suits. A seahorse, the historic logo of the Tissot Seastar, is transferred on the interior. This animal, a symbol of sea life and easy mobility underwater, is also present on the sapphire crystal case back of the Tissot Seastar 1000 Professional.

The Dubai based Arab Fashion Council has pioneered the first men’s fashion week in the Middle East. Presented by Arab Fashion Week in partnership with Facebook, Inc Arab Fashion WeekMen’s will run from 28-30 January 2021. Thereafter, it will take place twice a year each January and June in line with the menswear fashion week calendar. Reinforcing the Arab Fashion Council’s goal to establish a sustainable platform through which to champion fashion design talent from across the region, both established and emerging menswear designers from the UAE, Lebanon, Qatar, and Iran, have confirmed their participation in Arab Fashion Week- Men’s. Furthermore, as part of a strategic partnership between The Arab Fashion Council and The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, four emerging menswear designers from Paris Fashion Week Men’s, have been selected to participate in the first Arab Fashion Week- Men’s. “Emerging brands express a fashion forward view on the world. I am Nikita Preka, Miss World Albania 2018 and international model and influencer.

How has your journey been till now? My journey been successful but also challenging, ups and downs ,tears and joy, many sleepless nights and hard work but also fun and rewarding.

Tell us about your education.

I completed a Bachelor Degree in Banking and Finance and Master degree In International Business, also I am part Qualified Financial Accountant.

What are your fondest memories?

Having the best grades in my class and being involved in all the social activities at school. I start hosting school events since I was 9 years old, I was very confident and I had to be in centre of attention.

How did growing up in the Albanian influence you? Growing up in Albania was challenging, I couldn’t fit with the society and their way of thinking. My vision and thoughts about the future were more advanced than my pears , therefore I found it hard to be understood and express myself. However I had a great family environment, my dad worked hard to provide the best for me and my siblings. What were you most fascinated by? I am fascinated from nothing in life, nothing impress me.

When and how did you dream of becoming a beauty queen?

I was 16 year old when I won the first beauty pageant ,Miss Lezha, a little city where I was living with my family. Then I moved to United Kingdom where I won a few tittles in pageantry. The last and least pageant I took place was Miss World 2018,where I represented Albania. I found pageants as a platform where women can speak up about themselves and share messages to a large audience. As a kid I would stare the TV for hours watching pageants and fashion events, I was in love with the glit and glam of pageants, the beautiful women, their makeup and dresses.

When and why did you move to UAE?

I moved to UAE in 2018,UAE have the highest standards of living than major part of the world, also is one of the safest country among the rest. Is a country that offer great opportunities for business and development.

How was the feeling and overall experience when you won the Miss Albania World 2018 title? Miss World Albania is a prestige tittle, I bet majority of women in Albania dreamed to have my crown in 2018, however myself I was glad to represent Albania at Miss World but also very relaxed. I would recall as a beautiful experience and eye opening event in my life.

What were some of the challenges you had to face through your journey? There are many challenges and many rewards which I am honored to have made me the women which I am today. One of the biggest challenges for me has been anxiety, being a public person you are always criticized and labeled from the industry of media and the public. I recall many bad days where anxiety was taking over my life, my best friend Yasmine played a huge role to help me go through it and my prayers to God.

Beauty pageants are often criticized for reinforcing the idea that girls should be valued for their physical attributes and are superficial … What are your thoughts on this? This is not true, beauty pageants if organized accordingly are an amazing platform for women to showcase themselves, confidence builders and entertaining

Who is your role model? I don’t have a role model, and I don’t project myself based on a role model, the person which I am building myself to be have to be unique ,no comparison.

Matthew M. The luxury handbags have gained prominence in popular culture; the designers have sought to create signature bags for the everyday woman. With the iconic women’s bag Lady Dior create an intimate fashion dialogue with a woman and what she wants. The inspiring fashion history of the Lady Dior bag began in 1995 when the bag was appeared on the arm of Lady Diana, Princess of Wales, on a trip to Paris. Before that moment the Dior bag did not have a name, only unofficially named Chouchou at the time, but because of the historic moment snapped with this bag on Lady Diana’s arm, it received the perfect name: the Lady Dior. It was often photographed carried by Diana at public events. Soon after, the bag was being described as “iconic" and “legendary”. Two hundred thousand models were sold in two years in a larger series and Dior's leather goods turnover increased ten-fold. Composed of 144 pieces in total, the Lady Dior bag was inspired by everything couture. The bag is most commonly decorated with a cannage pattern, adopting one of the houses' integral graphic codes. The cannege was inspired by the Napoléon III chairs once used by Christian Dior to welcome his customers into his atelier on the date of his first show in 1947 This season, Dior introduced its newest iteration of the Lady Dior Bag: the Lady D-Lite.This ultra-comfy and minimalist version still features the Cannage motif, but this time it’s created with 3-D embroideries. Pinghe Bibliotheater is the core of OPEN’s latest project—School as Village/Shanghai Qingpu Pinghe International School. A library, a theater, and a black box interlock together like a Chinese puzzle to form this characteristic building that some call ‘the blue whale’ while others see it as an ocean liner. The unique form of the building and the free-flowing spaces not only cultivate the students’ interests in reading and performing, but also encourage their imagination to roam freely in the ocean of knowledge.

The Bibliotheater abuts an important corner of this schoolvillage, at a junction near which a major city highway and an ancient canal also meet. The slanted roof with spiky skylights, ship portholes like round windows, and eye-catching blue color leave a strong impression on passersby. When we were given the extensive and jumbled-together program of a new school for 2000 students aged from 3 to 18 years, the immediate reaction was how dreadful it would be for a kid spending these many years fixed in one building. We decided to break away from the current trend of school-as-megastructure. Instead, the original program was deconstructed and grouped into many smaller and distinctive buildings, forming a village-like campus. The marriage of library and theater came from the architect’s belief that the act of extensive reading and thinking, and the act of expression through performances, should be critical components of education but are often ignored in test-driven educational systems. The distinctive qualities of these two programs and the respective physical needs came to inspire the design of the building. Above and Below The proscenium theater and the black box, which require the least natural light and the most acoustic isolation, occupy the lower part and the deep central area of the building, while the library occupies the upper part. A loop of different reading spaces rises and drops according to the varying heights of the theater volumes below, creating a terraced spatial sequence that climaxes at a central reading area that is surrounded by books and light. Introvert and Extrovert The experience of reading is inevitably introverted and

highly personal. Facing readers from early years to young adults, the architect created many comfortable reading zones of different qualities. A sunken roof garden gives kids breathes of fresh air and an outdoor reading area when weather permits. The experience of performing in theaters, on the other hand, is extroverted and exciting. The main entrance to the theater is where the building is ‘cut’ diagonally to form a theatrical opening. The juxtaposition of warm wood panels and deep blue walls create a visually stimulating auditorium. The café on the ground floor also plays an important role. During normal school days, parents waiting to pick up kids can read and socialize there. Lightness and Darkness Light is crucial to the design of the library, not only fulfilling the functional needs but also giving form to the spaces and animating them with musical rhythm. Abundant skylights on the slanted roof bring filtered light to the central reading area, a giant oculus dropping down from the ceiling illuminates the very center in an almost spiritual way, forming an emotionally charged central space. While in the theater, natural light is avoided entirely, and artificial lighting was carefully designed to meet functional requirements. In a sense, the Bibilotheater was conceived more broadly as a cultural center for not only the school but also the surrounding communities. Carefully placed near the secondary entrance of the campus, the building may be used independently without disturbing the campus management. It was the architect’s hope that the Bibliotheater will become the social energizer that brings together parents and community members.

The Santa Fe comes with a choice of four engines bringing incredible power and cleaner emissions. The Santa Fe is the first Hyundai model to be fitted with the nextgeneration powertrain ‘Smartstream D2.2’ engine which has a maximum output of 202 ps and a maximum torque of 45.0kgf.m. Among the new key safety and convenience technology features are the Remote Smart Parking Assist and Lane Following Assist. Another new feature is the Terrain Driving Mode, allowing the driver to switch between different drive modes and drive safely on sand, mud and snow surfaces.

The car also comes with a 10.25inch Audio, Video and Navigation (AVN) system, featuring powerful capabilities.
