If the City of Toronto’s plans go ahead, it was the briefest of stops for a couple of street signs at the corner of Glen Road and Bin-Scarth Road in Rosedale. The city installed a pair of stop signs on Glen Road earlier this summer after some residents expressed concern over speeding and safety in the area. After other residents spoke out in opposition to the signs after they were installed, however, the signs could be taken back down as soon as Sept. 29. Now, the area is largely divided, with some saying the signs are necessary to keep kids in the neighbourhood safe and others suggesting their installation has led to increased congestion and noise in the area.
