Our approach to growth seeks to generate sub-centers for services and amenities combining high density housing to contain the urban sprawl.

Pedestrian bridge with difficulty finding access from inside the industrial park

Accesses is designed for vehicles, the pedestrian has no priority with narrow sidewalks, the entrances are not clearly distinguished and there is no control

Access by car is complicated due to the distances that users travel, in conflictive hours it can take up to 1 hour and a half to the nearest town (Santa Rosa Jauregui).

Long route to get from the closest town to the industrial park on foot. There are no sidewalks to allow easy transfer from one place to another, rendering them at danger on the side of the road.

Students must walk almost an hour to reach the park, the vehicle return is in front of the school.

T A N G I B L E C O N T E X T Currently the site is being used as an informal waste space, we verified this by finding vehicular passage marks within the terrain. On the other hand, the large number of cigarette butts indicates that the employees of the area go smoking there; this activity, despite being illegal, indicates that there is already a flow to the site.

The transit schedule in the Industrial Park cover a large range of the night time since there are many shifts, and also carriers arrive at odd hours.

Workshops. Space for training courses, certifications and education. It benefits the companies of the industrial park as well as opens possibilities for carer growth. With technical schools, training agencies and location of personnel and companies for learning activities in mind.

Equipment areas. Spaces where workshop practitioners can learn about the generic equipment that companies use for their processes, handling and operation of certain machinery, programs and standard safety equipment in industrial plants.

The second access was altered from what was before the only access to the industrial park, but modified to control the flow of vehicles, with preferential use for cargo trucks. Also it now allows the direct passage of emergency services.

P E D E S T R I A N C O N T R O L The sports space is designed to be opened only during business hours and also at special events of the companies, for this reason it is necessary to allow closure during offline hours when the park should not be traveled. The idea is not to generate a definitive physical block, but to allows its a flexible mobility and integration into the landscape.

H O T E L The QuerĂŠtaro Industrial Park today has various agreements with hotels in the state to cover the needs of people who come from the outskirts of the city, however these hotels are located at a far distance between 15 to 25 minutes from the place. The hotel in this space seeks to cover the needs of these users, bringing them closer to where they need and saving commute times.
