Join us for an evening of celebration as we announce our 2024 Member Member Champions!

Tournament Format

Over the course of both days, teams will compete in a Net Best Ball format. Handicaps will be calculated based on the lowest 12month handicap indexes, capped at 36 strokes. Flights are organized by combining these indexes with teams sorted from the lowest combined index to the highest.

To ensure fair play, teams with a handicap difference exceeding 10 strokes will have the higher handicap adjusted downward to bring them within 10 strokes of their partner.

Winners in each flight will be determined by the lowest 36-hole net score achieved by their team.

Tie Breakers

In the event of a tie in any flight, tiebreakers will be resolved using the USGA Matching Cards method. The winner will be determined based on the best net score for the last nine holes, followed by the last six holes, then the last three holes, and ultimately the 18th hole. If the tie persists, the winner will be decided by a draw of cards.

Shootout for Overall Champions

After determining flight winners, each will compete in a “Shootout” for the overall championship. This modified alternate shot competition will unfold across holes 16 - 18 at Conservatory or holes 10 - 12 at Ocean. Both players will hit their tee shots, select the best shot, and then alternating until the ball is holed.

Handicap allowances will be calculated according to the USGA guidelines, with 60% allocated to Player A and 40% to Player B. The total will be divided by 6 and rounded to the nearest hundredth.

Ex. Player A’s playing handicap is 10, and Player B’s playing handicap is 10.

60%(10) + 40%(10) = 10/6 = 1.67

1.67 is the team playing handicap.

In the event of a tie, teams will engage in a sudden death shoot-out on hole 18 in the same format until a clear winner emerges. Should the tie persist after playing hole 18 in sudden death twice, the victors will be determined by a chip-off.
