Dear Hammock Beach Members:

Excitement is in the air at Hammock Beach as we gear up for a busy summer season!

The Conservatory restaurant has introduced new activities that you won’t want to miss. If you haven’t yet experienced the Wednesday Happy Hour at the Conservatory with the Lite Bites menu, you’re in for a treat. This Happy Hour has been a smashing success, offering a great opportunity to mix and mingle with other members. And if that’s not enough, the Conservatory Supper Club every Friday is off to a fabulous start this month. The first Friday was already sold out, but there are still plenty of Fridays available for you to make a reservation via the member website.

If you are a food and wine enthusiast, registration is now open for our 2nd Annual Hammock Beach Food & Wine Classic scheduled for September 6 on the Champions Lawn. This is the perfect chance to come sip with us and discover a selection of over 75 new and tasty wine varieties, styles, and flavors, all while enjoying live music, interactive experiences, shops, and delightful dining options from our on-property signature restaurants. Plus, if you bring a potential new member with you to this event, you’ll receive $50 off the entry fee.

As we move into summer, we’re also transitioning from Souper Saturday to Ice Cream Saturday, the perfect way to cool down as temperatures rise. Please be sure to RSVP your attendance on the member website so our banquet team can be prepared with an adequate supply.

As an update to our Mixers and Afternoon Teas, the Club hosted our most recent Member Mixer event on April 11. Looking forward the Club has planned a Member Mixer or Quarterly Member-Manager Reception for June, July, September, October, November, and December.

Regarding Afternoon Tea, the Club has planned to continue the Seasonal Saturday offering every Saturday of each month through end of year and will host a Tuesday Afternoon Tea on the first Tuesday of each month starting in June through end of year.

The Club membership office will continue to manage RSVPs for the Member Mixer/ Quarterly Member-Manager and Afternoon Tea events.

As always, the Resort and Club will be bustling with activity this summer, so please make reservations in advance for all member events, dining, tennis court times, and tee times. This will allow us to anticipate your arrival and deliver a great service experience.

Hammock Beach enjoyed a great 2023-2024 league season! This year, the Club was represented by ten teams across nine different levels. We crowned two league champions this year! Our Women’s 3.0 brought the title back to Hammock Beach and our Women’s 55+ 3.0 team repeated as champions once again!

Our Women’s 2.5 and Women’s 6.5 Combo teams finished the season as the league finalists in their respective divisions. The Mixed 6.0 Combo finished the regular season in third place and our Women’s 3.5 and Women’s 7.5 Combo teams both finished in fourth place.Congratulations to an amazing season!

Popular in the 1930s and 1940s, Supper Clubs were traditional types of dining establishments that would also function as a social club for members to enjoy a night out with friends, old and new.

We pay homage to these restaurants with our wellcurated three course meal for you to enjoy. While each course has options, we will just need you to order your entrée at the time of registration. All temperatures and specific requests will be taken at the time of service. All meals are specially priced for members and are still subject to tax and any gratuity you choose.

This year will feature an impressive lineup of tastings from the resort’s culinary team and restaurants at 10 food stations with 30 different wine tents. The featured chefs, wine experts, and culinary personalities will come together to showcase their talents and passion for gastronomy allowing guests the opportunity to indulge in a variety of gourmet tastings and wine pairings, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean. A sampling of wine partners joining the event this year include Banfi Wine Estates, Delicato Family Wines, Justin Vineyards, Perrier-Jouët and Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery. Headlining the entertainment for this year’s event is Chillula, a high-energy band boasting a diverse lineup of guitar, vocals, drums, keyboard, trumpet, saxophone, trombone and DJs.

When you find the wines you can’t live without, we will have a fully stocked wine store located in the Ocean View room at the Lodge ready to fill your shelves. Parrots and other exotic pet birds present unique challenges when it comes to animal welfare. For many birds, the loss of an owner presents a grim future. The stress of traumatic situations often results in plucking, biting and other negative behaviors that can make a bird unappealing and unwanted. The majority of animal shelters do not accept or are not equipped to handle birds and re-homing a parrot becomes significantly more difficult.

Ruffled Feathers Sanctuary ‘steps up’ to fill that void. We are a sanctuary that holds the birds’

best interest as our highest priority. With the help of dedicated volunteers, sponsors, and contributions, RFS has laid the groundwork for a self-sustainable organization that offers refuge for these birds and allows them the chance to live their long lives in as natural a setting as we can possibly provide.
