When a newly-renovated Palm Beach house first hit the market in 2019, the stylish resort-style haven sent house-hunters into a frenzy. The classic coastal mansion at 144 Tallebudgera Drive clocked up so many views on listings platform realestate.com.au that it was crowned the Gold Coast’s ‘hottest house’ that same year.
The six bedroom, four bathroom beauty has now been listed for auction again with Kollosche agent Rob Lamb, who is thrilled to be marketing the property a second time.
“This was one of Australia’s most-viewed homes and for good reason,” says Rob.
No expense was spared during an extensive renovation in which the original house was stripped back to its shell before being tranformed into the ultimate family haven offering 562m2 over three luxurious levels on a generous 892m2 parcel. one side while overlooking the foreshore to the creek on the street side,” says Rob. “Tallebudgera Creek is such a pristine waterway brimming with native wildlife and the colour of the water is just exquisite.”
The supersized saltwater pool and spa glisten in the sun, and when water sports beckon, your private boat shed with ramp delivers what you need to indulge in this aquatic pastime, along with a fixed jetty.
“This house is definitely geared towards an active outdoors family who enjoy entertaining and using this amazing waterway for fishing or boating,” says Rob.
Engineered oak flooring and VJ ceilings feature across open-plan living, dining and kitchen where a custom Carrara stone benchtop, pendant lighting and beautiful shaker-style cabinetry draw the eye.
Entertainers will appreciate the addition of a butler’s pantry with Vintec wine fridges, a second integrated double-door fridge, a surplus of storage and easy side access via the courtyard when catering for special occasions.
But it’s the alfresco amenities that elevate this property to at-home resort status.
An elevated cabana fitted with state-ofthe-art facilities is the place to sit back and watch dolphins and swans glide by on Tallebudgera Creek. This stretch of water holds marine reserve protection which limits use of the water to paddle boards, kayaks and swimming, while boats must stick to a strict 6 knots and jet skis are prohibited.
“This section of Tallebudgera Drive is quite unique in that the houses back directly onto Tallebudgera Creek on
A self-contained guest house with a kitchenette and bathroom has separate access making it ideal for an au pair, live-in grandparents or older children. In the main house, an expansive multi-purpose room on the third level lends itself to a rumpus room, home office or a creative studio. A media room and study on the ground floor provide additional spaces in which to retreat.
Five bedrooms and three bathrooms are found on the first floor including a master suite featuring walk-in robe and ensuite, and a separate parent’s retreat, while three bedrooms open to a balcony with enviable creek views.
"The opportunity to acquire new and fully renovated properties along Tallebudgera Drive are few," says Rob.
“Palm Beach remains one of the most popular beachside suburbs on the Gold Coast. The chance to own one of Australia’s most popular homes is an exciting proposition. With so many families still looking to relocate to the Gold Coast and local families wanting space to spread out, we’re expecting plenty of eyes on this house again.”
