TRISTAN WARD BACK IN THE HEFFRON WINNERS CIRCLE

After a recent spell on the Asian Conti racing circuit Bennelong Swisswellness sprinter and odds on favourite Tristan Ward

clinched his first Heffron win of the season after a blistering last lap attack which set the race alight.

While Melbourne coped a deluge for the other race that stops

the nation, conditions at Heffron were hot, overcast and super fast for a smaller than usual field of 80 riders. Clearly all the punters were from C grade with only 26 on the start line,

however the smaller field seemed to work better and at the bell they still held a winnable margin of about 15sec

The chasing A and B grade bunch were having none of it

as Tristan Ward hit out with a lap and half to go with the Crit Dawgs duo of Nazarewicz and Bennett in tow. Like the true

thoroughbreds they are A grade managed to find the perfect line through the C grade field before Darcy Ellerm–Norton

launched a bold do or die attack over the pimple. Ward and

Nazarewicz were quick to respond and that’s how they hit the finish tape. Jack Bennett and Scott Law finished just behind for 4th and 5th spots and a night when A grade averaged 46.5kph

Ben Silberman was alert enough to get in on the action

enjoyable an almost armchair ride to the finish to win C grade. Tony Iannacito and Donny Semken weren’t far behind to complete the C grade podium.

Next in the mix was James Everett who has been knocking

on the door of a B grade win all season and finally got his pay

day and well deserved promotion to A grade. Northern Sydney riders Jack Renshaw and Jason Thomas rounded out the B grade podium.

Kudos to Emma Coral Roberts who despite battling a couple

of nasty injuries in the past 2 seasons was rewarded with her 1st Tuesday Night women’s win with last weeks winner Anna Booth and Gina Ricardo also finishing in the mix.

THE KING of HE ANTHONY SPURGEON

“I’ve received hundreds of messages over the last two weeks.

Yes, it is correct. I wasn’t a Heffron to witness another classic race or two. But I have people everywhere to help me. I am THE KING.” THE KING rates for us the top place getters of Tuesday Night Heffron Week 5.

1st A: Tristan WARD (Sutherland) Pure class, like me. But did you hear police sirens on the last lap? It sure looked like it. What have you stolen this time? 2nd A: Alex NAZAREWICZ (Manly) Clearly my assessment last week was wrong. Winner one week, nothing the next. Get off the pies. 3rd A: D’Arcy ELLERM-NORTON (Rapha) Post race I saw it in your eyes son. You were off in the French Alpes, two day growth, hammering up another mountain on another Rapha black and white photo shoot. Snap out of it, this is reality. You need to focus and put your game face on. 4th A Jack BENNETT (Randwick) Last week you cruised to 2nd place under the outstretched paw of Naz. This week you were dusted. Spat out. Washed up. If you are going to fail, at least get a social media attack for your sponsors. 5th A: Scott LAW (Marconi) Last year you were the joint Alpha. Now you’re the Charlie or Delta dawg. I’m disappointed for you and with you, but there is hope. I know a Spanish vet who can help. Call me. 1st B: James EVERETT:(Parklife) Time to piss in the long Heffron grass with the big dogs next week. Just don’t piss yourself. Just hang onto the backs of Mills. He’ll be sucking the rear wheel of Nash. 2rd B: Jack RENSHAW (Northern Syd.) I was riding recently with that Renshaw bloke

from Bathurst. Said you were expelled from the family and doesn’t rate you. That asessment stands. 3rd B: Jason THOMAS (Northern Syd.) Close but no cigar. This doesn’t warrant a piece of advice. 1st C: Ben SILBERMANN (Sydney). One thought. NERO KOM Racing. Young, pimples, and fast. Your application is half done. 2nd C: Tony IANNACITO (Caravello) Just like old mate from last week, you old blokes are flexing your muscles at the moment. Just don’t flex anything else. 3rd C: Donny Di Semke (Sydney) Don, you are not living in a real world Sopranos. “Woke up this morning...” You might like to call yourself Don, Donny, Little Don, but I am THE KING. Or The Don of Heffron if you like. 1st Woman: Emma ROBERTS (Manly). Oh no, a winner from MWCC. But it was great to see you didn’t snap a bone tonight. And beating your team mates from last season, that’s something I never experienced. I am THE TEAM. 2nd Woman: Anna BOOTH (Manly). Take this as a win. Why? You’re getting the knack of turning both ways. 3rd Woman: Gina RICARDO (Sydney Uni). If there a race somewhere in Australia, you’ll be there. But once again your application for Queen of Heffron is refused. The throne is a place for winners, like me.
