Corrosive, Erosive, Abrasive An Exploration of the Phoenix Branch Library The goal of this project is to bring to light the physical, emotional, and architectural significance of the wounded site through the use of materials and forms that illustrate its dramatic and enlightening change over time. Nostalgia becomes known as the initial emotional response to the site. “The wound,” portrayed by the building itself, becomes known as the physical response to nostalgia. Consequently, the resulting timeless effect becomes interpreted as the architectural response to the wound. Map of Site and Greater Phoenix
