DENSEOP E N N E S S
The openness of the site is most emphasized by its expansive landscape and lack of sound; only a few crickets, birds, and the occasional airplane make their presence known. The density is represented by the site’s trajectory from an open landscape to a military base, and now ASU’s Polytechnic campus. Therefore, this student pavilion mitigates the contrast between the existing sweeping regional landscape and the projected urban growth of the Polytechnic campus.
