My senior thesis is based around how millennials are transforming media and the way we communicate in the digital age. This clock was made to show visually, the correlation between my topic and the concept of time. News travels in different ways and at varying speeds. When alignment occurs across channels of communication, our daily lives are temporarily disrupted. The base of the clock is binary code representing technology and a ring of the different communication channels is set on top. In order of speed from slowest to fastest we communicate via person to person, mass media and social media. The hands are double ended to show that communication never stops, but they are etched on one side so you can still tell time.
