PROCESS LGBTQ+ issues has always been a topic I've been very passionate about. So many people have faced discrimination in a number of areas because of who they are. With this clock, I wanted to show how the community is still far from being treated equal and several rights and services are being taken away from them. I used text to create the equal symbol, and used only one clock hand so that it could slash through the text, creating the inequality symbol as result.

FINAL CLOCK The clock was made using 1/2” acrylic for the clock surface, and 1/4” acrylic for the clock hand.

DETAIL The colored words were printed directly onto the surface of the clock face, while everything else was mounted directly to the back. The hand was cut and etched with the use of a laser cutter.

PACKAGING To further add to the concept of the clock, I created packaging using the concept of creating the equality symbol with the use of words. The symbol is made up using the name of the clock, to tie into but not give away the full context. It was cut and etched with the use of a laser cutter.
