Always within reach, ready to stop pain
Burn danger to very young children Scalding is a form of thermal burn which results from hot fluids such as boiling water or steam. Scalding is one of the most common causes of severe burns for children in the United States. In particular, children age four and under have the highest risk of experiencing a scald injury with over 200,000 of these type of injuries occurring each year.
Seconds Count 95% of these injuries happen while the parent is in the same room. A child’s skin burns in a quarter of the time to that of an adult, therefore it is essential that the skin is immediately cooled to stop the burn from deepening and becoming more severe.
Coolstar burn dressing kit Coolstar provides its users with one, immediately accessible burn dressing kit designed specifically for young children. If a child’s burn goes uncooled for even seconds, the wound can worsen from a 1st degree burn to 2nd. Traditional first aid kits don’t provide parents of young children with the knowledge, treatment or access needed in an emergency burn situation.
Coolstar is designed to address the need for a burn dressing kit made for all types of burns offering users the speed, ease of access and high quality treatment

Silicone rubber surrounds the insert port adding grip when Coolstar is attached. Coolstar can be attached from multiple directions, as the star shaped insert will attach to the harness from any angle.
On the interior of Coolstar’s lid is a measurement aid to help the user in determining if the child should visit a hospital. If the child’s burn appears more severe than a 1st degree burn, and is larger than the highlighted zone, cool star instructs the parent to visit a hospital.
