SEA SONAL OVERVIEW
FALL ’15 GIRLS Back-to-school’s biggest callouts are comfort, cozy, free-flowing and layering. These descriptive details will be seen within our key trends. Mythical Nomad features folklore-inspired dressing mixed and matched with a ’70s retro vibe. Homespun offers a plethora of textures and prints, especially plaid. Caught up in Comfort lets her relax in easygoing silhouettes. The New Normal channels a boy-meets-girl aesthetic. Fall into Romance has a sweet and delicate ambiance. With our customer being so current, fast and complex we must stay on the cutting edge of trends and key items. Listening to the customer is key to overall growth, as well as keeping a fresh assortment and environment that will keep her engaged. This spring we saw the customer respond to new key items right out of the box. New opportunities of growth include active takes on sportswear, with fashion trend influences and hybrids between performance, athleisure and lifestyle dressing. Look for the resurgence of denim, as Chambray, Tencel and other denim-like fabrications show up in new classifications like dresses, jumpsuits, skirts, jackets and shirting. Tunic and duster lengths extend into tops, graphic tees, shirting, sweaters, vests and jackets.

TRENDS
TRENDS
MYTHICAL NOMAD
This is probably the biggest trend for Fall ’15. It is ’70s-influenced with bohemian-inspired dressing. This festival girl combines her carefree spirit with folkloric creativity. She is a pro at layering and craves vintage-inspired ripped/slashed and extreme washed. Graphic plays, lightweight toppers and free-flowing shapes get decorated with fringe, studs and crochet/lace. Fur is a major call-out.

TRENDS
HOMESPUN
This grunge-based trend consists of lots of layering and a plethora of textured knits/sweaters, plaids and heritage influences. It lets her pile it on with all types of mixed fabrications, patterns and proportion plays. Distressed denim, furs and traces of military are all fused together.

TRENDS
C AUGHT UP IN COMFORT
This trend has Cali casual written all over it. Head-to-toe knits in unstructured shapes and folds of cozy layering are directionally styled. Sport-inspired, performance, athleisure, lounge and urban sophistication are wrapped up in comfort.

TRENDS
FALL INTO ROMANCE
For the girly girl who loves everything whimsical, dainty and ladylike. Dark ground florals are in full bloom, flounce, ruffles and delicate fabrics and feminine colorations adorn every piece of this vintage-inspired trend.

TRENDS
THE NEW NORMAL
This boyish aesthetic and cleaned-up structuring is directly influenced by menswear. Novelty collars, cuffs and shirttails, pleats, clean lines, oversized boyfriend fits, shirting and tailored completer pieces is modern minimalism at its best. The big picture trend is a little forward and sophisticated, but the takedown for kids has a youthful boy-meets-girl vibe.
