Slow and steady wins the race OnChain Monkey holds a special place in the heart of The Drop Magazine. OCM was the first NFT our founder ever purchased and was by all accounts our introduction into the weird and wonderful Metaverse.
When we first stumbled upon OCM we were impressed with their historic achievement of being the first PFP collection that was generated entirely on chain within a single transaction. Today OCM is so much more, this project has gone from strength to strength achieving a slow but steady pace of organic growth backed by a decorated and well connected team.
One of the first things you’ll notice about OCM is that they proudly emblazon their core values (Respect, Integrity, Sustainability and Experimentation) as the landing content of their website. In lieu of a roadmap, OCM boast a charity driven events list of positive action with Metagood at the centre.

On Flow for good Metagood is an charity focused NFT marketplace utilising the Flow blockchain. You may already know this blockchain as the home of CryptoKitties and NBA Top Shot. We expect to see more adoption of Flow over-time as a sustainable and purpose built blockchain for NFTs. As Metagood’s genesis collection, OCM has raised over $35K for giga – a UNICEF-ITU to connect every school in the world to the internet
So what’s next for OCM With OCM’s sights set on doing some Metagood in the world, holders can look forward to free airdrops on Flow, real world events, merchandise and some delicious off-chain bananas (think loyalty points) that can be traded in for rewards. Once Ethereum support is added to Metagood, OCMs will be tradable on the platform without a fee. Additionally, holders currently have early access to upcoming collections on the platform including Elyx, an illustrated character and the first digital ambassador of the United Nations. We expect to see more steady growth from OCM over the coming months as awareness of the NFT grows. Today OCM has only 5k Twitter followers so it’s a good morning to do your own research.
