Chadron’s men’s basketball team fell to a last-minute shot in overtime against South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Thursday, Jan. 21, in Rapid City, South Dakota.
After being behind at the end of the first half, 32-24, the Eagles came back in the second to tie the score at 51 points, pushing the game into overtime. In the last four seconds of overtime, Hardrocker Kolten Mortensen, junior of Santaquin, Utah, made a three-pointer, allowing South Dakota School of Mines to come away with the win by one point, 60-59.
Teddy Parham, Jr., junior of Los Angeles, reached a season high of 24 points, 9 of 15 from the field and 50% from the arc, while contributing three rebounds. Jacob Jefferson, junior of Buckeye, Arizona, had 12 points for the night, being 5 of 10 from the field.
