CSC revives Spring Daze tradition u By Aubrie Lawrence Editor-in-Chief

Last week, students fought off the harsh spring winds and participated in the revived CSC Spring Daze tradition. This was the first time in almost three years that CSC has been able to hold a spring daze event because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this, many students had to be re-

introduced to CSC traditions like the Nearly Naked Mile. “I do think bringing back traditions like the Nearly Naked Mile was something students enjoyed,” Kelsey Crock, senior of Cheyenne, Wyoming, a member of the Student Senate events planning committee, said. “It was crazy to me that it had been almost three years since we had a Nearly Naked Mile. My freshman year was actually the last one. I would talk about it, and nobody knew what I was talking about, so we all knew it needed to happen again.”

During Student Senate’s final meeting of the semester Monday, Kimberly Hernandez, student activities coordinator, said that over 150 students attended the Nearly Naked Mile and the Nearly Naked Dance. About 200 students attended the food truck event and around 200 students participated in the Inflatable Palooza. “Overall, I thought Spring Daze went really well for the students,” Crock said. “Everyone was having fun and enjoyed the events. ”
