The beginning of the academic year is always a busy and exciting time, but this year is especially memorable as it marks the latter part of a two-year celebration commemorating the college’s founding 100 years ago in 1911. The Eagle, the voice of Chadron State College since 1920, is proud to record the happenings of this historic year by providing news, sports, and entertainment coverage alongside a number of opinion columns, lifestyles features, and media reviews. We invite you to contribute in whichever way you are gifted - be it through photography, illustration, writing, or design, many opportunities exist to communicate information to your fellow colleagues. If you prefer reading to contributing, we would love for you to drop by the newsroom at #235 Old Admin and let us know your thoughts, or e-mail us your ideas at editor@csceagle.com. Let the campus know your thoughts on an issue or policy by being featured in our “Letters to the editor” section [submit your letter via e-mail or through our website at www.csceagle. com]. Our above-mentioned website is updated often throughout the week, and can be used as a source of news, weather, and campus announcements and notifications. We look forward to seeing you around campus, and wish you the best of luck in your classes.
