Father-Son / Parent-Child: 27th July – 29th July
Oakmont Country Club, Laurel Valley Golf Club & Latrobe Country Club The Father-Son (Parent-Child) competition is an established annual event which is always well attended – it’s as much about the bonding, competing, mixing with other Father/Sons as playing combinations of courses that have staged one of the Majors. This year we head to North America’s finest, Oakmont Country Club, Laurel Valley, and Arnold Palmer’s Latrobe Country Club. Consistently ranked in America’s Top 100 courses, situated in the rolling hills outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Oakmont remains possibly the most difficult courses in North America, renowned for its 210 deep bunkers with its trademark church pews, its fast and firm slick greens that slope away from the player, and tight fairways requiring the greatest accuracy. Considered by some to be Dick Wilson’s consummate design, Laurel Valley was founded by a group that included Arnold Palmer and is also a regular feature in the Top 100 courses in the US. Combined with Latrobe Country Club, the home of Arnold Palmer, this is the perfect golfing trio to create memories of a lifetime. This 54-hole event is designed for 24 Father-Son (Parent-Child) teams (age 11+) who will compete over three days of 18-hole best-ball matches. The format enables you to play with lots of teams of similar age groups and share time with everyone.
