What is this subject all about at Senior Cycle?
How to analyse an array of problems using procedures and methods that are beneficial not only in solving textbook questions, but in dissecting real world issues also. A closer look is taken at the more abstract side of Mathematics, giving you a hint of what might be to come should you decide to take the subject at college level.
Will learning this subject at Senior Cycle be different to what I studied at Junior Cycle?
The Senior Cycle course in Maths picks up where the Junior Cycle course finished. The topics you learned about previously will be expanded on, and you will be exposed to new methods and procedures to help you tackle more challenging problems.

Assessment?
Over the two years in Senior Cycle Maths students will be assessed through Semester Exams, Mock Exams and the Leaving Certificate. Students can sit Higher, Ordinary or Foundation Level Maths for their Leaving Certificate.
