MWASA’s mission is to enable medical women doctors to collaborate and participate effectively in health policy, practice of medicine and in advancing towards a society where men and women are treated equality and access opportunities equitably. MWASA’s values are Integrity, Involvement and Innovation Our goal is to mobilize women medical doctors in South Africa behind the vision of universal health coverage and to overcome racial, gender, class and other barriers to health and wellbeing for our nation and humanity. MWASA aims not only to support medical women in their personal and professional capacity, but also to reach out to
communities by assisting and contributing towards women empowerment in education and in health matters, which will spill-over towards alleviation of poverty. In the 2016 MWASA identified and adopted Mpumelelo Secondary School in a small town called Rethabiseng (Bronkhorstspruit). MWASA has since provided continuous support to the school in various projects and events that have taken place at the school. MWASA team has visited the school at various times and provided motivational support.
MWASA invited a vibrant facilitator and motivational speakers to motivate learners and give the words of encouragement. It truly was a beautiful and suc-
cessful day for all including the guest. The principal of the school, Mr L.L Moseke said this will also encourage teachers. Parents were grateful for the initiative. Learners couldn't stop expressing how grateful they are with the efforts of MWASA for always contributing and fully participating in the school events. MWASA strives towards making continuous contributions in this school community and its surrounding communities in uplifting and empowering the girl-child and the women in the community.

FALL NOT IN THE TRAP OF FRAUD A year ago, it was on a Tuesday when I got a call inviting me to give a catering quote for over a hundred people. On Wednesday evening I received a note of payment from the bank, full payment, from the client, actually it was more than the quote.
