What is FAKE zine?
FAKE zine is a print zine that celebrates local independent subcultures from art and music, to fashion and film. We look inside the box, rather than outside the box. We seek for creativity and individuality.
We are rebels. We are artists. We are nationalists. We are the kids your parents warned you about, and we’re not afraid to admit it. We are those who choose quality over quantity. And we are here to make sure you too are heard and seen.
Who is FAKE zine?
Why does FAKE zine exist? “FAKE zine is a personal project of mine. It is a product of my struggles and frustrations as an editor and writer. It is a platform for me and artists to come together and collaborate. A safe space, an outlet, for emerging artists who are yet to find a home in the big bad art world that’s notoriously known for being unforgiving—at least for up and coming artists. With FAKE zine, I aim to shed light on and give a voice to the typically unseen and unheard. At FAKE zine, we choose local. Instead of looking outwards, we look inwards.” - Celene Sakurako
