The Fashion Identity At 6th Element, the goal is to strive towards an optimal state of well-being by improving the lifestyle of our client, by making small gradual changes in their food habits and physical activities. We see an astounding number of reports about increasing obesity rates, diseases and conditions related to being overweight and out-of-shape. We want to keep reiterating the importance of fitness and well-being in not only our lives but help the society as a whole!

How would you define wellness and fitness absolutely essential for human beings? Ans) As our lifestyle changes, so does our level of health quotient. I believe fitness and wellness along with proper nutrition is beneficial to people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. In today’s age it has become highly essential for people to have complete awareness of their bodies and mind to stay away from any health problems in the longer run. A regular fitness activity regime can improve the current and future level of health and our overall lifestyle and state of well being.

Ans) We offer people to take up a highintensity workout like functional gym or Zumba and to combine it with more hormone balancing workouts like antigravity fitness or dynamic yoga. Taking up a diet plan, infrared sauna and pre and post workout meals with this would be our best bet for optimal results. But we decide this as per the strength and age of the client. We don't want any injuries and hence we take a call as per the client.

With a program for senior citizens at 6th Element, we encourage them to take genuine steps toward better health, improved mobility, and increased function.

According to Yoga expert Antika Prakash Rai, Yoga helps in achieving various fitness and health goals.She feels,”One should do yoga according his/her need.”.This season of parties in this month of December and early January,Antika insists on doing Yoga for atleast 20 to 30 minutes a day.Over an email chat when we asked her about how long should one do yoga to keep himself/herself fit and look healthy in these party months, she said, “So my view is that every one should spend atleast 20 to 30 min in a day for doing yoga.”You may crave into food that you like in this season.But ensure that you follow Antika’s advice after this season.”All you need is to stop eating deep fried food and stick to natural and healthy food. Make Up Tricks for this winter season BY RATI JAIN PURI

You should never keep your hair oiled for more then a day. It's a misconception that oil keeps your hair mositurized and healthy. Hair are benefited by oil in 1 complete hour and you can wash it off. Keeping oil in hair for longer time attracts dust and thus leading to hair loss and infections on scalp.


The Fashion Identity Paan Truffles with Gulkand Centers Servings: 12 Difficulty : EASY

Ingredients: For the Gulkand centers•2 tablespoons almonds. •1 teaspoon anise seed/ saunf •A tiny pinch of salt (optional) •3 tablespoons of good quality gulkand ( rose petal jam) •2 drops of rose essence For the green coating•¼ cup sweetened condensed milk •¼ cup sweetened shredded coconut •½ teaspoon cardamom powder •4 drops of green food coloring •A tiny pinch of salt (optional) •6 big sized, fresh betel leaves, washed and dried •1/2 teaspoon ghee to grease palms (if needed) •Dry sweetened coconut for rolling the truffles

To Serve: •Vanilla ice cream •Rose syrup

To make the Paan Truffles with Gulkand1.In a microwave safe bowl, heat the almonds on high for one minute. Check and heat again for 30 seconds or until toasted. Alternately toast the almonds in a pan on the stove on medium heat. Remove from heat and set aside. 2.In the same bowl heat the anise seed/ saunf on high for 30 seconds or until fragrant. Alternately toast it in a pan on the stove over medium heat. 3.In a dry grinder or food processor, pulse the almonds and anise seed together until powdered. Remove in a bowl. Add the salt (if using), gulkand and rose essence and mix together. Divide mixture in 12 parts and roll into balls. Set aside in refrigerator. 4.In a microwave safe bowl, combine the condensed milk, shredded coconut, cardamom powder, food coloring and salt (if using). Stir together and microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir and microwave again for 1 more minute or until the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the bowl. 5.Cut the betel leaves/paan leaves into thin strips/chiffonade and combine them with the condensed milk mixture. Divide into 12 parts. 6.Take one part of the green mixture and flatten it like a disc, in your hands using ghee, if needed, to grease your palms. Put a gulkand mixture ball in the center and cover it bringing the sides of the flattened green mixture around it. Roll in the dried sweetened coconut and set the truffle aside. Repeat with other 11 parts. 7.Refrigerate truffles to cool. 8.Serve with vanilla ice cream topped with rose syrup.
