STATE AND FEDERAL REPORTING Compared to last week slaughter lambs traded 2.00 – 14.00 lower on a light test. Slaughter ewes were 7.00 lower and bucks were steady. In goats, slaughter kids 7.00 lower. Slaughter nannies were steady. Slaughter billies and slaughter wethers were steady. Trade activity and buyer demand was good. The sheep supply consisted of approximately 27 percent slaughter lambs and 14 percent feeder lambs with the balance being slaughter ewes and bucks and bottle lambs. The goat supply consisted of approximately 52 percent slaughter kids, 40 percent slaughter nannies/does with the balance being slaughter billies and wethers. Bum lambs traded 5.00 – 21.00 per head. Sheep and lambs sold on a per cwt basis and goats sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.
