STATE AND FEDERAL REPORTING Compared to last week slaughter lambs traded 8.00 – 9.00 higher on a light test. Slaughter ewes and bucks were steady. In goats, slaughter kids were steady. Slaughter nannies were steady. Slaughter billies and slaughter wethers were steady. Trade activity and buyer demand was good. The sheep supply consisted of approximately 44 percent slaughter lambs with the balance being slaughter ewes, bucks, and bottle lambs. The goat supply consisted of approximately 43 percent slaughter kids, 35 percent slaughter nannies/does with the balance being slaughter billies and wethers. Bum lambs traded 11.00 – 18.00 per head. Sheep and lambs are sold on a per cwt basis and goats sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.
