STATE AND FEDERAL REPORTING Compared to last week slaughter lambs traded steady, while feeder lambs were 4.00 to 7.00 lower. Slaughter ewes were steady to 4.00 higher and slaughter bucks traded mostly steady. In goats, slaughter kids traded unevenly steady, while slaughter nannies/does were steady to 10.00 higher and billies and wethers were steady. Trade activity and buyer demand were moderate to good. The sheep supply consisted of approximately 42 percent slaughter lambs, 17 percent feeder lambs, 15 replacement ewes, with the balance being slaughter ewes and bucks. The goat supply consisted of approximately 75 percent slaughter kids, 15 percent slaughter nannies/ does with the balance being slaughter billies and wethers. Sheep and lambs sold on a per cwt basis and goats sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.
