STATE AND FEDERAL REPORTING Compared to last week slaughter lambs were sharply lower and feeder lambs were steady. Slaughter ewes were 8.00 lower and slaughter bucks were 9.00 lower. In goats, slaughter kids traded sharply lower and slaughter nannies/does were steady. Slaughter billies and slaughter wethers were steady this week. Trade activity and buyer demand was moderate to good. The sheep supply consisted of approximately 40 percent slaughter lambs, 16 percent feeder lambs with the balance being slaughter ewes and bucks. The goat supply consisted of approximately 65 percent slaughter kids, 29 percent slaughter nannies/does with the balance being slaughter billies and wethers. Sheep and lambs are sold on a per cwt basis and goats are sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.
