Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady and feeder lambs were sharply higher. Slaughter ewes were unevenly steady and slaughter bucks traded mostly steady. In goats, slaughter kids traded steady, while slaughter nannies/does were steady and billies and wethers were steady. Trade activity and buyer demand were moderate to good. The sheep supply consisted of approximately 22 percent slaughter lambs, 26 percent feeder lambs, with the balance being slaughter ewes and bucks. The goat supply consisted of approximately 64 percent slaughter kids, 30 percent slaughter nannies/does with the balance being slaughter billies and wethers.
