FACTS New Student Instructions

New Student Logins 6th-12th Grades You will need your student’s ID number for many of the steps in this document. Please complete the following FIRST, then you may complete the others in any order.

How to Find Your Student’s ID #: Log into Your Facts Family Portal Account:

Next, choose your student from the drop down menu at the top, and then look for the number beside the ID System. (Where the red arrow is pointing)

A FACTS student account is created for all 3rd - 12th grade students in the TFA and TCS divisions. This allows them to view their homework, lesson plans and grades.

They cannot view sibling academic information, financial information or make changes to contact information.

Your login for FACTS Family Portal District code: TFA-FL Username: first name last name (all lowercase, no spaces) Password: First Name Initial AND Student ID Number (capital first letter of your first name and no spaces) Example: District code: TFA-FL Username: williamzavala Password: W1234567 *You have 5 attempts to log into your FACTS Family Portal account before it is locked.

Canvas is The First Academy’s Learning Management System (LMS) providing an online component for courses. Students may take tests, turn in assignments, and participate in collaborative learning environments.

Your Login for Canvas Username: first name last name (no spaces) Password: Student ID Number TFA App From the Apple App Store (iPhone, iPad) or Google Play Store (Android), select Search.

Type in The First Academy then touch “Search”.

Open The First Academy app on your device.

This opens FACTS in a new browser window. Follow the directions for logging into FACTS (at the top of this document) with the same login information. You will only need to do this the first time you login on that mobile device. Close out of the browser window to go back to the app.
