Little Academies: K-Prep 3 and K-Prep 4 Creative Movement - Creative Xpressions Dance Academy is a Christian-based Dance Academy for children ages 3 and up. In this Creative Movement class, each child will have the opportunity to express themselves through a variety of activities and styles of dance. Dance helps children to increase interaction with their peers and learn about personal space. Children will also gain strength, coordination, and balance, while improving their overall well-being. Music helps children of all ages discover their inner music-makers by playing and exploring sounds and expressing in our bodies those music elements we hear and sing. Little Rhythm makers will allow preschool students to expand their creativity, social skills, sense of self, sense of time and space, and even their intuition! Instructor: Barbara De Freitas, Music Together instructor Tuesdays, 3:00-3:45 pm Cost: $110 Year-Round: Little Actors - A theater program focusing on building confidence, boosting communication skills, and fostering creativity. Each year, the children perform in a live production that family and friends are invited to attend. The children work together to create the program backdrop, costumes, and of course they are also the star in the show! Instructor: Ms. Nina, UpSide Kids Wednesdays, 2:45-3:15 pm Cost: $215 for 10 classes, January 10th through March 13th Year-Round: Little Kickers - A preschool soccer clinic designed for those parents looking for a fun and non-competitive soccer-focused extracurricular activity to add to their little one’s schedule. Clinics are delivered in an environment designed to ensure that kids have fun, but also learn skills along the way!

The Academies: TK-5th Grades American Girl Doll - Our most popular specialty camp from 2023 is making an appearance in The Academies! This class is more than “playing with dolls!” Students will bake a yummy dessert, create an art masterpiece, study historical characters, perform some science experiments, and complete an engineering build during this STEAM-focused class. Join us for these educational classes filled with tea parties, games, storytelling, and plenty of fun and laughter. Ballet and Jazz Combo class continues from January 16th through April 30th, and will end in a showcase for parents to attend. Per popular request, our theme for this session will be 'Slimy Friends' (fish, geckos, bugs). Students will explore hand building and glazing techniques to create 3 beautiful pieces. They will gain understanding of our walk with the Potter while working with the Clay, as well as witness the kiln firing process, relating it to the refining fire of the Holy Spirit. The session ends in a mini art showcase for parents and siblings to attend. Athletes will use communication skills to collaborate with teammates, participating in both on and off screen activities. They will also be introduced to careers within the esports world! Flag Football League: Our Lower School Flag Football League is back! We are excited to continue partnering with other local schools for the spring. Practice will be held once per week at TFA on Mondays. Games will also be once per week, at rotating locations. Games will be mostly on Thursdays after school. More details on game times will follow closer to the start of the session. For students who understand and have used the LEGO Coding system in prior classes, you will continue to use the
Prime App and larger hub for advanced building opportunities. Both beginners and experts will be encouraged to create and code their own creations as well. Tech Production - The Tech Production Course provides students with the opportunity to know what it's like to be "behind the scenes" of a live production! They will get to use and learn about the audio and video equipment that is used, basic concepts for proper lighting and sound, create actual background music from scratch, and much more! The 6-week program in January culminates in a rehearsal production that is run entirely by the students themselves. Instructor: ACE Music Academy Tuesdays, 2:50-3:50 pm Cost: $125 Tennis (ETA) - Tennis through Elite Tennis Academy will focus on learning and developing the fundamentals of tennis including groundstrokes, volleys, serves, footwork, scoring, and match play. Each session will include individual instruction, group drills, fun games, and team and individual competitions. Players will need to wear athletic tennis shoes and bring water and a racket daily. Middle School Academies: 6th-8th Grades American Red Cross Babysitting - The purpose of this course is to provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care. In order to receive the end of course certification, students must attend all 6 classes. This class does not include CPR. Recommended pairing this class with CPR & First Aid, which is also offered during Session 3. (15 students max.) Instructor: Michelle Mason Tuesdays, 2:50-3:50 pm Cost: $160 American Red Cross CPR & First Aid- The American Red Cross CPR & First Aid program is designed to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. The classes in this session teach participants the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person when minutes matter, and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed.
