Locked Up

Marrol Miole

Everything was black and white Do not know if it’s day or night I was in a dark, quiet place They are people but without face

Astoundingly, I was on a cell Outside there’s a monster ready to kill Some people tried to escape But not one of them succeeded

I tried to walk But my feet were chained I tried to shout But my mouth was sealed

Despite my flinch, I got a dream Everything was bright and in glee After the storm there’s a bright sky There’s a rainbow and everything’s fine

As I woke up I’m still on that dark place But now, hopeful with God’s grace I must stay still, I convinced myself To stay alive and get back to my life.
