SCHOOL UNIFORM REGULATIONS

 The wearing of nail polish, make-up including lipstick, eye shadow and false lashes is not allowed.  Ties and epaulettes MUST be worn for the duration of the school day while traveling to and from school and while attending official school functions.  Male students MUST always wear their shirts neatly tucked into their pants and female students MUST have their blouses, which must not be tight, neatly inside their skirts at ALL times.  Female students only, are allowed to wear (1) one pair of earrings (silver or gold) which may be bobs or small sleepers and must be worn in the lower lobe. Rings in the cheeks, eyelids, nostrils, lips, tongue or other visible body parts are not allowed for either sex.  Junior girls’ overalls must be worn 2 ins. or 5 cms. below the knee and MUST not be tight.  Senior girls’ skirts must be worn at the waist, must extend at least 2 ins. or 5 cms. below the knee and MUST not be tight.  Female students must wear plain socks reaching 2ins or 5 cms above the ankle while Junior boys’ socks MUST be worn mid-calf.  All male students MUST wear their pants/ trousers at the waist, they MUST not be oversized, baggy or tight around the legs and

ankles. The pants MUST be worn with a plain black leather belt with an ordinary, simple buckle head.  Senior boys’ socks MUST be one solid colour of grey or black. No white nor brightly coloured or patterned socks are allowed.  All students must wear leather shoes with laces at the front. The wearing of sneakers, boots, high-cuts, pumps and soft-wear is prohibited.  Students must refrain from wearing brightly coloured clothing, vests or t-shirts with markings under their white shirts/blouses.

 Braids, Weaves, Wigs, add-ons and other hair extensions are not allowed. There will be no exemptions from this rule.

 Hairstyles for male students will be consistent with that of uniformed organizations.

 Exception will be made for male students of the Rastafarian faith to wear a black tam.

 Generally, hairstyles worn by students must be suitable for school and must be simple, tidy, neat and unobtrusive (must not block the view of other students during class.) Hairstyles MUST not include any designs and/or cutouts.
