“And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers” (Deuteronomy 6:23).
T
he construction in our opening verse is about one word—purpose. This passage was talking about the Israelites, and God’s reason for bringing them out of Egypt was so that He could bring them in to the Promised Land! This is how He wants us to approach our salvation in Christ Jesus: He saved us (brought us out of sin), that He might bring us into our inheritance in Him, our place in Him. This mentality will make a huge diference in your life; it’ll completely change your destiny, and make it one of greatness only. He didn’t just save us; He did it for a reason. The real message of Christianity isn’t just about the ‘savior’— Jesus. Yes, He is the Savior, but He did much more than ‘saving us’. If saving us was all He came to do, that wouldn’t be Christianity. Being saved was a means to an end. Now that you’re saved, welcome to a new life, but it’s much more than that. He saved us so He could bring us into oneness with Himself, our place of righteousness, glory, greatness, dominion, and excellence. Jesus brought us out of sin that we might inherit His righteousness. He brought us out of death, pain and penury, that we might have life in abundance and live in prosperity, health, and wellness every day on this earth. Notice again His purpose for bringing them out of Egypt: it was to give them the land that he swore to their fathers; the land of their inheritance, and make them great as He said to Abraham. God had said to Abraham, “I’ll make a great nation of your descendants, I’ll bless you, and I’ll make your reputation great, so that you will be a blessing” (Genesis 12:2 ISV). slaves in Egypt; that wasn’t greatness. He delivered them so that His purpose for their lives would be realized; so they’d become the great ones that He wanted them to be. As slaves, they couldn’t have the land. He had to bring them into liberty, to give them the land. God has a purpose for your life, as He has a purpose for everything that He does. In John 10:10, Jesus said, “...I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” 1 John 3:8 says, “…For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” Then in Luke 19:10, He said, “...The son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” His purpose was very clear: He came to do the will of the Father. Like Him, you were born for a purpose; you came to do the will of your heavenly Father. You weren’t born for nothing. You were born for the glory of God. You were born to walk with Him and bring Him honor. He planned from the beginning that you’d serve Him and live unto Christ. Now we can help those who don’t know Him to discover His light, learn about Him and receive His righteousness. That’s why we’re His witnesses. He saved us and made us His partners in saving others. You can now see that there’s much more to our salvation in Christ. Let that purpose become established in your heart today. Take a hold of that revelation: the divine vision to bring Him glory; and you’ll experience tremendous growth and success in your life, and in all that you do.

hank you, Jesus!” This was Portia Mongale’s continuous declaration as she came up the stage to testify at a healing service. Tears of joy lowed freely, as she recalled all that she had been through. She was overwhelmed with gratitude at the grace of God that was at work in her life and His unfailing power, which had wrought this mighty miracle in her life. Her life had changed drastically when she sufered a stroke, meningitis and tuberculosis. Isolated and in very bad shape, it was a diicult time in Portia’s life. The situation got so bad that her sister, who had become her caretaker, was advised to abandon her because there was no chance that she’d ever recover. Amidst the desolation, God showed His favor toward Portia, and made a way for her to come to the Healing School. Looking back on that time, and the victory that she obtained by faith when she came to the Healing School, Portia marvels at the goodness of the Lord in her life. Her irst statement as she took the stage was, “It is a miracle that I’m here. I thank God for the opportunity to share of the good things that He has done in my life. He is alive, and we are alive because He lives in us.” Then she proceeded to tell her story of the miraculous.
“My parents passed on when I was young, so I had to raise myself. I started working before I was 15 years old. It was diicult, but I endured the hardships. I was young, but my hard work was starting to pay of when one incident started what I thought would be the end of my life. I had just been promoted to store manager, which meant I had to be the irst one at the store. This particular day, I got to the store and pressed the button to open the roller shutter door as I normally did. It went up, but as I was about to step in, the door suddenly came down and hit me right between the eyes. I fell down with blood rushing from my forehead. “I woke up in a hospital with stitches on my forehead. Afterwards, I stayed at home for a while, then I went back to work. That was when I noticed that my vision was becoming blurry, I couldn’t see properly anymore. At irst, I thought it was because of the computer screens, then I went out to lunch and I could feel the sun’s rays going straight to my brain. I went to the hospital to get checked, but nothing was found. One day, my legs just stopped working; they were stif, and I couldn’t feel anything. I had had a stroke. Over the next few months, I was also diagnosed with tuberculosis and meningitis. “From that time, I couldn’t do any of the things I used to. I went back to being a baby; I was bathed and carried when I needed to move. I had to use nappies if there was no one to take me to the toilet. I was bedridden and all I could do was lie down. With the tuberculosis, I had to be kept in my own space, so that I would not infect others. This meant that I 06 | The Healing School Magazine
couldn’t be with my own son. I was so afraid because I knew these conditions were life-threatening.
“This healing is all in one. I am a living miracle. I could have died, but the Healing School stopped it.”
“Life in that state was very horrible, it was a life of darkness. My family took me to hospitals and traditional healers, but nothing helped. Things kept getting worse. At some point, I’d wake up and not remember anything that had happened the previous day. We spent so much money, until there was nothing to spend since I couldn’t work anymore. I had gotten so thin that my ribcage was showing. The neighbors would peep and ask when the funeral would be, they thought I would soon be dead. They pressured my sister to take me of life support. But God wasn’t done with me yet, I was destined for greatness.” Despite all that had happened and the circumstance of her life, Portia refused to give up. She says, “I knew how much I needed to be there for my son; I grew up orphaned and I didn’t want him to go through the same things I did. I had to break the bondage of poverty and sufering.” Her resolve yielded results when she found someone to bring her to the Healing School. This signaled the start of a new life for her. She relates her Healing School experience. “When we got to the Healing School, I received Jesus and I got born again. When Pastor Chris came to minister to me, I knew that I had to do the impossible. The doctors had given up on me, I had run out of money, I had nowhere else and nobody else to go to. I had to prove that the Word of God was true, that what I had received wasn’t a lie. I had to live, not just for myself, but for other people who would see my miracle and have hope. “I didn’t want any distractions, so I concentrated on Pastor Chris’ every move. He laid one hand on me, and that was all it took. I heard a voice say, “Portia, it is done.” I stood up immediately and took one step after the other, and then I was walking. I received a new life. The glory of God came upon my life and my life hasn’t been the same ever since.” Talking about her new life, Portia says, “This healing is all in one. I am a living miracle. God came through for me; He gave my son another chance to have a mother. I could have died, but the Healing School stopped it. Every time I watch my miracle, I am overwhelmed. I tell everyone my story. When you have a miracle like mine, you must tell of God’s wonders. “Since I came to the Healing School in 2012, I haven’t gotten sick, not even once. Even my son never gets sick anymore. That impartation that I received has lowed into his body as well. My life is totally transformed and my testimony has transformed my entire family. They are so happy, and they believe that God–through the Healing School–visited them when all hope was lost. My friends got born again and they preach the good news with my testimony.”

M
y experience at the Healing School was amazing, my words will not be suicient to describe what I witnessed and received. Often, you would hear Pastor Chris say that no two meetings are ever the same. Therefore, when I had the opportunity to visit the Healing School, my expectation was to receive something unique that would make the diference. I intended to take all I could back to India to cause a change. As I entered the Healing School on healing service day, the atmosphere was like electric waves lowing. There were so many people who were sick, and I was wondering when all of them would be healed. Then the Spirit of the Lord reminded me from the Scripture that many with sicknesses and inirmities came to the Lord Jesus Christ and He healed every one of them. When the man of God entered the hall, it was something extraordinary. The glory of God came alive; I saw Jesus in the man of God. He was doing the works that Jesus did, and I saw Christ in him. In a short while, all that had been sick were healed. With all these happening, I experienced something very
unusual–there was electric current lowing from my legs and going all over my body. There were certain health challenges that I was facing, but after praying for the people lined up, Pastor Chis mentioned that there were people having body pain. I knew it was me, so as he gave the word for healing, I received it. In that ministration, the power of God penetrated my body. Since then, I have noticed that there is no body pain at all. The weakness has left. Praise the Lord! Being with Pastor Chris changed my ministry; my eyes of understanding opened and he really impacted my spirit. I am loaded now. For me, this experience has historic signiicance; this is something that I can never forget. Now, I’m fully convinced that I must take the vision that God gave to Pastor Chris back with me to my country. This was my irst visit, but certainly not the last. I will deinitely share these new revelations with the people in my church, and everyone whom I come across. Thank you, Pastor Chris. You’ve been a great blessing to my family and me. I salute you, sir, you are a blessing to this generation and I thank God, may He bless you.

ccidents happen, but responding to such situations without accurate knowledge might make a bad situation worse. Timely response is very important, and while there’s plenty First Aid information on the internet, you may not have time to google in an emergency. So, we recommend that you learn First Aid and be prepared. The General Rules • Make a First Aid kit: Your First Aid kit must have basic items like bandages, gauze, tape, antibacterial cleansing wipes, sling/scarf, thermometer, tweezers, scissors, allergy medications, safety pins and paracetamol. Also, keep emergency instructions like ‘ICE’ contacts inside the First Aid box. • Learn Important First Aid Techniques: Every First Aider should know these 3 techniques: the Heimlich Maneuver for choking; the ABC method for checking an unconscious person’s airways (A), breathing (B), and circulation (C); and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for when breathing or heartbeat stops. Be sure to learn age-appropriate CPR and Heimlich methods. For Bleeding • Bruises & Grazes: For a mild bruise, keeping the surface clean and dry is important, and will speed up the healing. Grazes are usually contaminated with dirt and need to be washed with mild soap and under clean running water, or cleaned with a disinfectant wipe. • Cuts: Clean the surface of the wound with clean running water, dry the surface and apply a clean dry dressing. For deep cuts, apply direct pressure over it with a bandage or dressing pad, for at least 10 minutes to stop the bleeding. • Nose Bleeds: Don’t panic. Encourage the casualty to lean forward, apply pressure to the blood vessels of the nose by pinching the nostrils for 10 minutes while the person breathes through the mouth. Call emergency services if the bleeding does not stop. For Minor Burns • Treating burns depends on severity, size and location. For third degree burns, or burns larger than 3 inches, call for emergency medical services. Treat less severe burns by holding them beneath cool (not cold) running water for 10 to 15 minutes, then cover loosely with sterile gauze bandage. Do not apply ice or ointment. Do not break blisters. For Sprains & Fractures • If you suspect a fracture, immobilize injured area with a splint. With open fracture, cover the exposed bone with a sterile dressing to reduce the risk of infection, then get the person to the nearest hospital or call emergency services. • For sprains, apply ice on and of every 20 minutes in the irst 24 hours. Avoid putting weight on the injury; wrapping the joint and elevating the limb might help, too. After that, apply heat to promote blood low to the area. If no improvement, see a doctor. Poisoning • Poisoning can occur from food, household supplies, animal bites, etc. When a person ingests any harmful substance or sufers a bite or sting, call a doctor immediately. Do not wait for symptoms to show or try to induce vomiting. Strokes & Heart attack • Learn the symptoms for strokes and heart attacks. Call emergency services immediately if you suspect either. For strokes, use the FAST acronym (Facial drooping, Arm weakness, Speech diiculties and Time to call emergency services). There are many red lags for a heart attack; chest discomfort, shortness of breath, cold sweats, fatigue, nausea, sudden dizziness, etc. Remember, First Aid is only an initial response. Do what you need to do immediately in an emergency, but never hesitate to call for medical help, especially when you judge the situation critical. 10 | The Healing School Magazine
