A smooth groove is one way to classify the musical sounds of ThaSaint. ThaSaint is an Independent writer, producer, and musician who has been honing his craft for more than 25 years. He is an award-winning Illustrative artist who can create magic whether it’s visual or sounds from the recesses of his mind to the tips of his fingers.

ThaSaint’s main instrument is the piano. He utilizes the musical tool to create music that soothes, pleases, and uplifts. Oh, he also has some jams that will definitely get you moving. ThaSaint fills your cup with different musical flavors. He hits the airwaves with a mix of smooth jazz, jazz soul, adult contemporary, and r&b.

His first recording was released at the end of 2012 titled Love Confessions ... The hits have continued to flow. To date, he has released 11 projects. However, ThaSaint has also worked on other projects. In 2015, he was the music director for the Heart Television Series. A book to film project produced and directed by Iris Bolling. Currently, he produced a song that is a monster hit in the U.K. It has reached #1 in the U.K. Soul and R&B charts. Yes, ThaSaint is making huge musical waves.

La Sheera Lee: What inspired you to be a part of the music energy?

ThaSaint: The beauty and creating something from nothing can affect a person’s day, relationship and bring people together. Since In the ‘80s. I have learned to in some part by a creative member of the industry that was really big back then.

LL: Describe your creative process?

TS: My process of coming up with an overall theme for a song is sitting in front of the piano and coming up with a melody that fits the mood that moves me emotionally, coming up with a catchy Bass Line which brings me to an overall groove for the rhythm section. The process is daunting at times if it is approached without a Feel in which the listener will easily get turned off.

LL: What inspires you to create music?

TS: The music reminds me of key moments in my life, like dancing in front of relatives with my cousins in the ‘70s, Music that is heavy on Soul, Blues, and Rhythm. Adverse moments in life also inspire me to create as a form of letting the tension go.

LL: How do you balance your creative flow with your workflow and family?

TS: Creativity is like family; it is always there and sometimes can get in the way. having a family that at times is part of the creative process with me and being big on Time Management makes it easier to not let one overlap the other.

LL: How do you energize your audience?

TS: Articulation in the music, Articulation in stage performance is the secret ingredient. it shows the audience that you are feeling the music you make and perform.

LL: How would you describe your music?

TS: My music is a blend of the music I listen to growing up which had a lot of soul, emotions, and rhythm. simply Music that makes you Feel!

LL:What are your current and future projects?

TS: I am currently rerecording my first album LOVE CONFESSIONS with live musicians. At this time, I am opening to do more producing for other artists and film scoring.
