The Horse Report Exciting news for Equine Joint Health
By TAMARA SKOK, ND, BHSc, DipHerbMed
Joint health is crucial for horses, especially those engaged in regular work, recovering from injury, or experiencing the natural wear and tear of aging.
As horse owners, we want our equine companions to live comfortably, free from pain and stiffness.
However, it can be challenging to know when a horse is experiencing joint discomfort, as they often hide their pain until it becomes severe.
Proactive joint care is essential. Supporting joint health before issues arise can help maintain your horse's quality of life and prevent serious problems.
To ensure this, discover the benefits of MSM, Glucosamine, and Chondroitin.
MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane), Glucosamine, and Chondroitin are widely recognized for their ability to support joint health, promote flexibility, and enhance mobility in horses.
These ingredients are effective not only as preventative measures but also in supporting, healing, and easing joint issues once they occur.
Joint health is crucial for your horses health , especially for those in regular work.
MSM is a natural sulfur compound known for supporting healthy inflammatory responses. MSM may help maintain joint comfort and mobility by reducing oxidative stress and promoting overall joint function. This makes MSM effective both as a preventative and when joint issues arise.
Glucosamine, a key component of cartilage, helps maintain the structural integrity of joints. Research shows that Glucosamine can support joint health by providing essential
nutrients that help maintain cartilage, especially in aging horses or those recovering from injury.
Early supplementation with Glucosamine helps protect against cartilage degradation while also supporting and healing existing issues.
Chondroitin works with Glucosamine to maintain cartilage elasticity, vital for long-term joint health.
Regular supplementation with Chondroitin helps prevent joint issues and aids in the healing process if damage occurs.
Health Within's Equine JointEase Plus (formerly named Equine MSM Plus), formulated with MSM, Glucosamine, and Chondroitin, is trusted in Australia for supporting equine joint health.
In August, Health Within is excited to introduce Equine Ultimate Support.
This new product combines the proven benefits of MSM, Glucosamine, and Chondroitin with Glutamine, Rosehip, Turmeric, and Cayenne to provide comprehensive support for equine joint health.
Glutamine: Supports soft tissue repair.

The importance of water in winter
Provided by WWW.RANVET.COM.AU
Many people are of the belief that in winter their horses don’t need as much water or an electrolyte supplement.
We can be tricked into thinking that because temperatures aren’t as high, humidity is lower, our horses aren’t sweating as much and thus it’s normal for fluid intake to reduce.
This could not be further from the truth!
In fact, our horse’s hydration needs just as much attention in winter as it does in summer.!
Why happens in winter?
- Water temperatures fall in the colder months, so horses tend to drink less.
- Horses still sweat throughout winter even if it’s not as visible. Especially horses that may be inappropriately rugged.
- As well as excretion of electrolytes, they are also losing all the important Vitamin Bs that need to be replenished daily.
- Anaturally reduced thirst reflex occurs in winter.
- Decrease in pasture quantity and quality in winter reduces the availability of fluid intake through grazing on fresh grass.
Maintaining clean fresh water during winter is crucial for your horse’s health.
- There is increased intake of dry feeds such as hay and chaff, used to maintain roughage intake and condition. What can this reduced water intake lead to?
- Dehydration can occur as water intake reduces.
- Reduction in gut mobility due to reduced fluid intake
- Increased risk of impaction colic due to dehydration
- Effects on body temperature regulation
What can I do to reduce this risk of winter dehydration?
- Add 30g of salt to your horse’s feed. Ensure access to a salt lick ad lib. Make sure your salt lick is molasses free, such as our Iodised Salt Licks, to avoid your horse overindulging in it the sugars.
- Monitor daily water intake / supply
- Monitor water quality and temperature- regularly refresh water troughs and check in the morn-

ings for freeze overs.
- Add an electrolyte supplement to your daily feed, or have on hand to provide after exercising /travelling your horse.
Ranvet Electrolyte Replacer is a great option for targeted electrolyte supplementation, or if you are looking for a premium electrolyte and B-group Vitamin Replacer, Salkavite is a go to. Either of these products can be added to the daily ration from doses starting at 30g.
Proper hydration is just as important when it is cold as during the warmer months.
Dehydration can quickly lead to various health ailments; poor gut health, reduced performance, loss of body condition and poor general health, and can escalate quickly into colic.
Continuing to maintain good fluid and electrolyte intake in winter is very important to your horse’s health.
Small things such as adding salt to your horses’diets, monitoring water supply and adding some electrolytes are just a few things you can do to help your horse stay hydrated and healthy through the cold winter months. For more great articles and advice visit www.ranvet.com.au

The Horse Report Gestation period for mares and foaling due date
The gestation period for mares is approximately 320-370 days from the first time being bred.
To generalize, the estimation of the due date, use a 340 day gestation period.
So if you’re wanting your foal to be born in early August, you need to breed your mare in the last week of August or the first few weeks in September.
The chart pictured will help you with the dates you plan to breed and and predicting the resulting foaling date.
Once you know your mare is in foal and the rough date she is due, as the time nears one of the most stressful things about foaling is the nightly vigils to check your expectant mare.
Anyone who has been in contact with foaling mares would know the story of “My mare waxed up today, she should foal very soon”.
Two weeks later you’re walking around like a zombie with bloodshot eyes saying,“she'll foal any day now”.
When it comes to foaling, on-time human intervention, if needed, is crucial to ensure a successful outcome.
For more than 40 years, Magic Breed has earned the trust of breeders, stud farms and broodmare owners as a crucial frontline tool to accurately alert foalwatchers when a mare is readying to foal down.
Already the benchmark foal-alert product in Australia and New Zealand, the original Magic Breed monitoring system has been dramatically upgraded to take advantage of modern technology.
The new Magic Breed product builds on its worldwide reputa-
tion and brings the Magic Breed design into the 21st Century with improved range, battery life and many other new features.
Called Magic Breed Plus (pictured below), it's not only much

TIPS FOR MANAGING THE THIRD TRIMESTER
As mares progress to their last trimester, they go through the most changes, this may be daunting and uncomfortable for the mare. Here are a few pointers on how you can support your mare nutritionally through the final stages, before your new four-legged friend hits the ground!
1.Ensure she is meeting her calcium needs. Although nutritional needs should be met throughout the pregnancy, they increase in the last trimester due to this being the time in which the foal will do most of their growing.
2.Understand your pasture. This is a big one as oxalate levels in different types of grasses can cause calcium deficiencies if not supplemented correctly. The same goes for toxins in various grasses which can cause neurological symptoms or damage.
3.Omega 3s are hugely important! Not only for brain development but also for placental integrity. Studies have found mares who had a higher level of omega 3 in their diets were able to maintain placental integrity. Compared to mares without omega 3 supplementation who were more likely to suffer from broken or fragmented placentas. Note: horses are herbivores so ALWAYS look for plant-based omega 3 oils, NOT fish oils! Remember, omega 3s are not high in all plant oils, only flaxseed and chia oils are high omega 3 oils from plant based sources.
4.Probiotics have gained quite the reputation over the recent years especially for equine health. Improving the mares microbial balance will not only support the mare’s immune function, but it will improve the milk and bacteria via the mare’s milk, this will assist in building the foals immune system.
Here are just a few of our tips to help you improve your mares health this year, for strong healthy foal. If you have any questions or queries, please don’t hesitate to contact our Nutritionists on (03) 9775 6422 or enq@hiform.com.au

The Horse Report Tips for feeding your newly started horse
BY LARISSSA BILSTON, BAgrSc (Hons 1), Nutritionist, Farmalogic
Starting your young horse under saddle is an exciting and important milestone in their training journey.
As you transition your horse from an unridden state to a trained riding partner, it's crucial to pay close attention to their nutritional needs.
Correct feeding during this period can have a significant impact on your horse's physical health, mental well-being, and overall success in adapting to their new role.
1. Gradual Transition
Just as the process of starting a horse's training requires patience and gradual progression, so does their dietary transition.
Abrupt changes in diet can lead to digestive upsets and stress, which can be especially detrimental during a time when your horse is already adapting to new routines and expectations.
If your horse is sent away to a trainer to begin their ridden journey, try to ensure they are fed a diet like the one they were accustomed to at home.
Can you provide feeds to be given at the training facility?
When feed changes are needed, gradually introduce any new hard feeds over a 7 to 10 day period.
In the weeks before your horse goes away, ask the trainer what they feed so you can begin this transition at home before sending the horse to the trainer.
Moving to a trainer's yard, beginning harder work, being transported, beginning competitions and sudden changes of feed put stress on the young
horse's body causing negative impacts on the digestive tract and beneficial gut flora.
Gut health supplements containing pre- and probioitics with protected live yeast have been shown to reduce the physiological signs of stress and maintain gastric comfort.
Probiotics and vitamin B supplements can help restore appetite in horses experiencing stress and anxiety in a new environment. Since they might be spending more energy during their training sessions, newly started horses often need increased amounts of hard feed to meet their increased caloric needs.
When you bring your horse home and begin riding yourself, remember to reduce the amount of hard feed given if you're not working the horse as frequently or as hard as the trainer.
2. Quality Forage
Forage should always be the foundation of a horse's diet, providing essential fibre and nutrients for healthy digestion. Since most horses move into smaller paddocks or yards during their training, providing free choice access to grass or meadow hay helps keep young horses settled and maintains good gut health.
Lucerne hay can be beneficial during training, especially if the meadow hay fed does not contain clover.
It provides a source of essential limiting amino acids (such as lysine) to help the body recover from unaccustomed work and build strong muscles.
Lucerne hay fed just before work also helps to buffer stomach acid and reduces the risk of squamous (acid splash) gastric ulcers. Lucerne hay should not exceed 30% of the horse's total daily intake.

The Horse Report A nutritionist can formulate your horse’s diet
From page 18
3. Balanced nutrition
In addition to forage, all horses require supplements and many need a hard feed balanced to meet their nutritional requirements.
It is important to provide the necessary vitamins, minerals, and energy to support their overall health and development. Since they are often hay-reliant, horses beginning their ridden life should be supplemented with omega-3 fatty acids which have a general anti-inflammatory effect and aid immune system regulation.
Consult with a qualified equine nutritionist to determine the best type and amount of feed for your horse's specific needs.
Factors such as age, breed, activity level, and individual metabolism should all be taken into consideration.
4. Protein
Protein is essential for muscle development and repair, making it particularly important during the early stages of training when your horse is building new muscle mass.
However, avoid overloading your horse with excessive protein, as this can lead to imbal-
ances and potential health issues.
Choose feeds with a moderate protein content and ensure that the overall diet is well-balanced.
5. Hydration and electrolyte balance
Proper hydration is crucial for your horse's overall health, especially during training. Ensure your horse always has access to fresh and clean water. Some horses are very fussy about drinking water that tastes different.
Fussy drinkers can be trained to accept water away from home with the addition of a small amount of molasses or cordial as they transition on to the trainer's
water supply.
Sweating during workouts can lead to dehydration, so provide salt as well as electrolyte supplements to replace lost minerals and encourage water consumption.
6. Monitor body condition
As your horse goes through the breaking-in process, keep a close eye on their body condition. Rapid weight loss or gain can indicate that your horse's diet needs adjustment.
Work with an equine nutritionist to evaluate your horse's body condition score and determine whether any dietary changes are necessary.
Conclusion
The early weeks and months of riding are crucial for establishing a strong foundation for your young horse's future as a riding partner.
Proper nutrition plays a pivotal role in both physical and mental development during this phase. By focusing on gradual transitions, high-quality forage, balanced nutrition, and gut health, you can provide your newly broken-in horse with the best chance of success and overall well-being. Remember that each horse is unique, so it is well worth consulting with professional equine nutritionist to help tailor a feeding plan that suits your individual horse's needs.

Cryotherapy the game changing technology
Cryotherapy delivers intensive long-lasting pain relief as well as accelerated healing to targeted areas.
Cryotherapy uses liquid medical-grade CO2 to cool tissues to 4°C in less than 30 seconds.
The sudden temperature change triggers a thermal shock response, leading to the release of pain-blocking hormones, dilation of blood vessels (to 4 times their usual size), increased blood flow, toxin flushing, and the delivery of oxygenated blood, hormones, nutrients, and activated enzymes to the treated area.
The healing and repair process of damaged and fatigued tissue has now begun.
This advanced treatment can achieve what ice does in 20 minutes within seconds.
This is a 'dry cold' treatment so there is no risk of frostbite burn or soft tissue damage which can happen with traditional icing methods.
decreases the need or frequency to medicate joints, improves overall wellbeing and is non swabbable.
Combined with equine mas-

What makes Rose-Hip Vital Equine stand
There are in fact many reasons. It all starts with the humble Rosehip, the berry-like fruit of the wild rose bush species Rosa Canina. A wholefood known to be one of nature’s richest sources of natural vitamin C. A superfood containing 8 naturally occurring vitamins (including C, E, B1 and B6) and 23 minerals (including iron, copper, zinc and magnesium), essential fatty acids (omegas 3, 6 and 9),
You may already know rosehips are often fed to horses for immune system support and a
improved circulation and improved digestive function. So you’re probably wondering what makes Rose-Hip Vital® so special?
Rose-Hip Vital® is made from Rosehips manufactured with patented extraction and drying processes which isolate and activate a galactolipid (fatty acid) called GOPO®. GOPO® has clinically proven anti-
The patented processes also concentrate and preserve the naturally occurring vitamins and minerals, transforming Rose-Hip Vital® into a product that is both in a category all on its own, and across many; It’s a joint
antioxidant and a nutritional supplement. It delivers noticeable improvements to mobility, mood, condition, willingness to move forward, performance and recovery while reducing
improving general health and wellbeing, and boosting immunity.
Rose-Hip Vital® is a clinically proven plantand rich source of natural vitamin C. There is no product like it. Unlike other joint supplements, Rose-Hip Vital® is 100% plant-
Rose-Hip Vital® is safe for long term use and it does not swab. It can be used alongside conventional treatments and supplements as well as potentially replacing or reducing the medication.
Horses like it so much, even the fussiest of eaters become more enthusiastic about their feed once Rose-Hip Vital is added. So while Rose-Hip Vital Equine has become a highly use, it also has become highly recommended for improving general health and wellbeing, improving performance and maintaining healthy joints.
How does Rose-Hip Vital® Equine lengthen the lifetime of a working horse?
Vital is comprehensive. There are in excess of placebo controlled clinical trials on people, dogs and horses mainly focusing on antithe unique compound GOPO.
To many people, antioxidants and anti-aging go hand-in-hand. Antioxidants are talked about as the antidote to cell-damaging free radicals. Exercise and the associated stress and increase in oxygen consumption are linked to an increased production of free radicals. When the production of free radicals overwhelms the body’s antioxidant defences, oxidative stress can occur with subsequent
research shows horses need natural vitamin C to help block toxic free radical activity, which causes damage throughout the body including joints and cartilage.
Some white blood cells in the body contain granulocytes which enable them to ‘clean’
bacteria in it. Too many of these white blood cells wear down tissue cartilage. In large numbers they can also produce chemical enzymes and toxic freeradicals which cause even more tissue damage. Excess accumulation of white blood cells combined with the release of chemical substances cause’s joint pain
The more becomes, the more the white blood cells are attracted to it –a painful cycle.
protects cartilage. This means it helps to delay the onset of arthritic changes or slow down further cartilage degeneration if it already exists.
In short, if you want to extend the lifetime of your working horse, feed it a natural antirich source of natural vitamin C. Rose-Hip Vital® Equine is your only option, and the results speak for themselves.

“BYE BYE FLY”
QUEENSLAND ITCH, SWEET ITCH, SUMMER ECZEMA and EQUINE
ALLERGIC DERMATITIS are names for distressing skin conditions which affects horses in spring and summer months throughout Australia and around the world.
The usual cause is a hypersensitivity to the bites of flies (in particular sand flies or midges).
While the bite of the flies are an irritation, some horses develop sensitivity to the bite and will rub themselves so much that they cause injury to their skin.
Research shows the cause is an allergic reaction to the chemicals in the saliva of the midges (as with humans).
Not only that, but once or twice a day, stable lies come to the horse, feed vigorously for a minute or two, and then return to the shade to digest their food. These bites can cause intense irritation in some horses. The bites appear as small raised lumps with a central scab.
The effects on the horses can be dramatic. They suffer intense pruritus (itchiness) on the mane, tail, face, ears and back, resulting in biting, rubbing, hair loss, self-trauma and a change of temperament. They become miserable and irritable.
KURITCH has been specially formulated to help assist this problem effectively, in a number of ways:
Firstly, it repels the biting insects using the combination of the natural repellent “Citronella Oil” and a highly effective repellent “DEET”. Secondly, it soothes the irritated areas thus relieving the horse from biting and rubbing, which in turn allows the normal healing process to begin.
Also rugging, hooding or stabling your horses between the hours of 4pm – 7am during spring and summer will limit the contact of the flies.
Should your horse already be suffering from the effects of allergic skin dermatitis, ensure you use QUIT ITCH to treat and relieve the effects of insect bites.
Since the 1970’s, QUIT ITCH has been an essential weapon in the fight against skin disorders in horses.
It achieves this by the inclusion of the natural antiseptic “Eucalyptus oil” and Camphor oil” which naturally relieves itchy skin.
These significant benefits are also enhanced by the “Rain Resistant” and “Low irritant” formula. As it doesn’t contain alcohol (prevalent in most fly sprays) it won’t “sting” the horse. It can also be applied to surface wounds, minor cuts and skin abrasions to help prevent irritation and possible infection by nuisance insects.
Registered by the APVMA in Australia for over 40 years, extensive field experience has proven KURITCH to be a most effective solution for both preventing and healing distressing skin conditions caused by biting insects.
As well as KURITCH as a repellent, environmental management will also assist in protecting your horse.
Midges breed near stagnant water. As they don’t fly more than a few hundred metres from their breeding area, housing or paddocking your horses more than 500 metres from those areas will reduce their exposure to the flies.

The importance of trailer maintenance
Most horse owners don’t think about their horse float until something goes wrong. But a horse float, like a car, requires regular attention to keep it running effectively and to ensure it is safe to carry your precious equine friend.
Horse floats are often abused as much as they are used: they get kicked and bitten, they get left outside in all weathers, driven on gravel and dirt tracks and, to add insult to injury, they get regularly covered in manure and urine.
Ensure regular maintenance and services are arranged.
Trailer and caravan manufacturers recommend that wheel bearings and brakes are serviced every 10,000km or 12 months. Take time to clean your float.
If hosed out, park your float on a descent to ensure run off water can drain.
Sweep out horse urine and manure - these must be cleaned out after every use and not left in the float for extended periods of time. All walls and surfaces should be kept in good clean order.
Cleaning your float, not only sets up a more comfortable ride for your horses, but highlights any areas needing attention.
The wheel bearings should be checked and re-greased six to 12 months after purchase, then 12 monthly thereafter.
Wheel nuts should be checked to ensure tightness after the first 200km and than six monthly intervals thereafter.
Suspension grease nipples must be regularly
checked and re-greased every 12 months. Check that the lights and indicators are all in good working order get underneath your float and have a good look at the floor and suspension – you might find a torch helps with this.
You are looking for obvious signs of fatigue such as: cracks in the welds and frame, rust, bowed or bent support beams, cracked or sagging flooring, broken brake lines and frayed wiring.
Then have a good look at the tyres and ensure they are safe and are wearing evenly. Tyre pressures should be checked regularly and should read 40 PSI.
Now get inside your float and if you can, pull up the back edge of the rubber matting – check for signs of deterioration in the floor and rust in the frame where the tailgate attaches to the float.
The external surfaces should also be cared
for as you would your car.
For longevity try to wash and wax your float regularly especially if the float will spend extensive periods outside.
It is also important to check your float windows and access points for any water leaks that may appear due to movement of the float and normal wear and tear.
If a water leak is found, it is important to rectify this straight away to avoid any damage to the paintwork or structure of your float.
Normal silicone sealant is fine for this. Preventative maintenance and care is the key factor in keeping your float looking brand new, as well as safe
If you service your float annually and conduct regular visual safety checks you should get years of reliable and safe use from your horse float and be comforable knowing your “passenger” is safe.
Regularly check float floors and wheel bearings to ensure the safety of your horse.

Building a relationship with your new horse
By TANJA KRAUS
Getting a new horse is an exciting time.
We have spent time on the search for our 'dream horse' and we have found 'the one' that has pulled on our heartstrings enough to make us bring them home.
We know exactly what is going on, but this horse has just been taken from everything that he knows, everyone that he knows, and the herd that he belongs in. How do we build his trust, and encourage him to settle into his new home?
Spend time getting to know each other.
Firstly, we need to spend time getting to know the horse. You may have spent some time with him before you purchased, but now he is yours, and its vital to invest in some quality time. It is important to have a good combination of passive time, simply grooming him or hand walking, and some light training sessions.
I would recommend that you spend several sessions doing ground exercises before considering riding.
Keeping initial sessions positive will help the horse see you as someone he enjoys being around. Spending time working on basic things will help you get to know how the horse thinks, his personality and if he is an immediately willing partner.
Set the ground rules
Even though we are keeping initial sessions light and positive, it is imperative to set the ground rules of the relationship early. Having relaxed rules at the start, to try and make the horse 'like you' will backfire and cause the horse to lose respect, and trust. Horses need leadership to feel secure, so set your ground rules from the start - like no rubbing on me, no grazing while online, respect my personal space, how you want him to lead. Be consistent
Once you have set your groundrules, it is important that you stick to them.
It is likely that your new horse is going to try to test boundaries every now and then, and if you waiver on your rules, you will encourage him to keep testing. Be consistent both in your expectations, and your communication techniques - you must ask him the same way each time, so he learns your language - if you usually ask a horse to pick its foot up by tapping the fetlock, then do this every time.
If you usually ask a horse to lead by driving it forward, then do this every time.
Confidence is a result of knowing what to expect - allow the horse to become confident in you by asking the same way, every time.
Have routine Routines are something that horses build confidence in. Due to my continuous travel, my horses don't have a lot of routine, and this has become their normal.
When settling a new horse in, try to establish some routines that they can rely on - a similar feed time each day, a routine when getting ready for a training session, even training in the same area for a few days or weeks. Establish some normalcy. Anything that you can keep the same as the previous home, even for a short time is going to help them settle - the same type of feed, being rugged or not rugged.
Maybe the previous owner fed treats and you don't intend tobut in the early days this could be something that may bring some comfort.
Patience
Always keep in mind that you have the advantage of knowing exactly what is going on and the horse really doesn't.
You are going to ask him to do things in a different way from the previous owners, you look, smell and feel different, and all of his surroundings are unfamiliar.
And that is everything - food, grass, water, paddock, social structure, and the way you interact with him.
Be patient when asking him to do things, he genuinely may not understand what you are asking. Build trust over time and small things
Don't overwhelm the relationship by going big - limit outings and external stimulation until the horse has built some trust in you, and sees you as someone he can rely on.
Remember that trust is built over years and experiences.
I know if I sold Cooper that I would be saying how great he is at everything, and how he can handle so much, but I really don't know if he could with a different owner.
I think we underestimate the
value of the relationship and how much comfort and leadership the horse gets from us.
From 2015 to 2018 my partner Phil and I have had the privilege of heading to the USAto compete in the Cowboy Dressage World Finals, and each year we are so fortunate that we are able to borrow the same horses to ride at the show.
In my first year, (2015), my horse Triscuit, was quite worried. We had only known each other for a week at that time, and we were competing at a major competition.
She tried her heart out for me and trusted me as much as she could.
Fast forward to the 2018 show, and you can see that she is much more relaxed and trusting in our relationship - which is only built for three weeks out of the year. In 2018, we won the Cowboy Dressage Top Hand Competition.
Even though we have such limited time together I make a point when I first arrive in the USAto simply spend time with her for a couple of days, with no real pressure, and slowly increase the expectation up to show time.
It is crucial to build a relationship with your new horse and develop a sense of trust and understanding. This takes time and patience.

Solly needs to find the perfect experienced home, he does have a couple of quirks which I’m happy to discuss with serious buyers and is priced accordingly. All his gear, wardrobe, Euro 2HALfloat (available after Sol sells) etc. are also available. More pictures and videos available.

Beautiful Nellie is the perfect first ridden or second pony with her exceptional ground manners and her kind and willing attitude. Her lovely temperament makes her a joy to have both at home and on outings.
Nellie is a stunning and highly educated pony that needs no introduction to the show and dressage arena. Under saddle, she offers three beautiful, flowing paces, moving as if she is floating on air, and responds softly to a snaffle bit with excellent brakes. She is versatile and experienced, having attended shows, dressage competitions, interschool events, pony club, and trail rides. She adapts effortlessly to the rider's level and ability and is a kind, safe, and polished mare that has a commanding presence in the ring, always taking her riders to the top. She has a repertoire of skills including leg yields, pirouettes, walk-canters, counter-canter, and flying changes, giving her the ability to hold her own against warmbloods in dressage and qualify for multiple Grand Nationals. For sale only due to rider outgrowing. This is a very difficult sale, so please only inquire if genuinely in the market.

Cosmo is full of character and easy to have around the stables. Easy to show prep, trim, wash, float etc. He requires confidence from his riders as he can be abit reactive to his surroundings at times. He has had limited outings due to school and work commitments.

Lulu is genuinely lovely pony in all aspects. Her temperament, movement, and breeding. Lulu has been so much fun for our girls who have done everything with her. She can be left for days and just get on a ride away, she has been ridden trail riding and mustering Lulu is easy to clip, wash, shoe, travel/float and loves every minute of being a show pony.
Lulu isn’t horse shy, matey, marey, spooky doesn’t shy and is happy to be ridden alone or in a group. She would be a fantastic second pony for a child wanting to have a bit of crack everything. Inter school, dressage, trail riding, pony club and showing.
Lulu is a genuine pony who is looking for her new little rider.

Ally has been owned by 13yr old daughter for the last 2 year and is only being sold as she is moving onto a bigger horse. Ally has taught my daughter so much in this time and it's now time for her to continue shining with her new rider. Ally always comes home with ribbons and will suit a capable child or teenager that’s going to love her like we do.
My daughter competes in interschool and show horse but Ally is a great all rounder and would also excel in pony club, dressage, is a great little jumper and enjoys trail rides. Ally is a pleasure to take out, loves attention, not much fazes this pony.
Ally is easy to catch (always meets u at the gate), bath, rug, shoe, prep for shows and travel. This pony requires minimal work before and after a ride even after having a short break. She has been fully handled by my daughter the whole time we have owned her.

Baxter is the ultimate Childs small hack, taking his nervous rider to many championships and building her confidence over the past 12 months.
Gentle and kind, he is an absolute pleasure to handle on the ground.
No work down or lunging required, Baxter will happily stand and be prepped all day long, going straight from the float into the ring and can be ridden in both a snaffle and double with no fuss. No kicking / bucking/ rearing and loads onto the float or truck easily.
Currently happily enjoying the paddock most the time and is a great paddock friend. Stabled only leading up to big comps.
Sadly his current rider has moved onto a dressage warm blood recently and won’t be competing at GN so we are searching for a new home for Baxter.

Beautiful Small Show Hack, always ridden/handled/prepared by child. Lovely to ride, very easy in every way.
Been to royal, qualified for Grand Nationals in Child's numerous times. Still relatively undiscovered as we haven't taken him far. Potential to win at Grand National level.
Extremely sad sale, we bred this horse & will be devastated to see him go. End of an era for our 3 daughters have grown up & moved on & this horse is far too good to waste in the paddock.
Entered & can be viewed at this year's Adelaide Royal Suit capable child or adult for showing at a high level, is also happy to pop around a jump course. Genuine sale of a lovely horse, vet check welcome.

He has previously qualified for grand nationals and royals easily. Aries is a straightforward, stunning pony with a presence in the show ring
Agenuinely quiet and sweet-tempered pony that is easy to have in the stables with children. Price is slightly negotiable to the perfect home. Plenty of footage is available.

Willowcroft First Glance, Kandy is a full sibling to the very successful galloways - 'Alpine Park Dreamtime, Alpine Park Blue Dimples and Alpine Park Awesome.
She’s is still a little green has, but very willing and very soft and forward to ride. She has extremely good movement and has started showjumping and absolutely loves it.
Also been out on trails in Company and alone.
I think this Galloway would be suited to an all-rounder Mount and now ready step out into whatever show you want to put her in.

National Quality Large Open Show Pony
Archie has previously competed at EANationals and Grand nationals
Qualified for grand nationals for the child's large show pony 2024.
Archie is well educated and has been handled, trained and campaigned completely by children but does require a confident rider as he is very forward and big moving.
Great to handle and take out.
Awonderful opportunity for someone to purchase a national quality pony without the huge price tag. For sale as rider moving on to a Galloway and quick sale needed which is reflected in price.
