Think about some things that you didn’t do or didn’t happen yesterday

Read the story and put the verbs in the correct past form. Jack and the Beanstalk Once upon a time a poor widow lived with her son, Jack. All they _had_ was a cow called Daisy. When the cow _stopped_ giving milk, Jack's mother _told_ him to take their cow to the market and sell it. On the way, he _met_ an old man who offered "magic beans" in exchange for the cow and Jack _made_ the trade. When he arrived home without any money, his mom became angry. She _threw_ the beans out of the window into the garden and _sent_ Jack to bed. During the night a giant beanstalk _grew_. Jack decided to climb it. At the top of the beanstalk he _found_ a magical land where a giant lived. Jack _stole_ gold and a magic hen from the giant. The giant _chased_ Jack down the beanstalk. When Jack _reached_ the ground he took an ax and _chopped_ down the beanstalk. The giant _fell_ and was killed when Jack _cut_ down the beanstalk. Jack and his mother _lived_ happily and in great comfort for a long, long time.

Organize the following lines in the correct order

It was my niece telling me my mother fainted. I had 2 hours left ahead when my phone rang. I thought it was another ordinary one. I left home early that day as usual. The lessons I learnt that day are unforgettable. I went home as fast as I could and took my mother to hospital. Fortunately, it wasn't a serious issue and drove her back home. I caught the bus at the bus stop. I got to work and began to do my thing.
