WINTER

The winter of 2019 was cold and bleak like so many before and the early mornings starts and hectic days and nights seem to blend into one endless day of greyness . The only consolation was that throughout each day it was punctured by moments of natural daylight. Even the photography was affected and trying to achieve that work life balance when time itself was a limited resource was difďŹ cult Yet there were moments when the opportunity did arise and the drive to size the moment was so overwhelming and the end results were totally worth it .

WINTER A TIME TO REFLECT

SPRING

As Spring slowly edged its way forward each single day and the weather got slightly warmer it was the snowdrops that were the ďŹ rst indicator of Spring that I really noticed, then followed by the cherry blossom on the trees The promise of rebirth is a constant reminder to us all that natures cycle is always present and sometimes it may seem to us to be earlier or later depending on the climatic and evironmental reasons. Yet considering our impact on the world, our own local environment it never ceased to amaze me how nature will ďŹ ght and bounce back and reclaim what belongs to it. With longer days and the opportunity to get out and take more photographs was not wasted. Page 5

SUMMER

Finally Summer came with a burst of colour and heat that blew away the cobwebs of the cold winter and vast tracts of open countryside was awash with fields of gold, tall grasses, wheat, grapeseed and dazzling flowers of every colour under the rainbow. Such sights were a joy to see and were truly inspirational as they spurred on further the need for creativity and nurtured the will to grow your own food and have just that little piece of the “GOOD LIFE”. With so many pictures it was difficult to choose but here a few that caught the moment. Page 7

HERE COMES SUMMER

AUTUMN

The summer days rolled straight into Autumn and again the landscape changed and revealed more spectacular colours and diversity. The skies above was full of heavy cotton bud like cloud that slowly navigated the sky and then there were days when thunderstorms appeared out of nowhere and torrents of rain ooded the parched earth below. The summer harvest and fruits had been gathered and the land had shared its bounty and the volume of photographs taken seemed endless just like the days themselves.
