Jewish Child’s Day is the UK’s leading Jewish grant-giving charity. We were founded in 1947 to support Jewish children across the world that had recently endured the decimation of their communities and displacement during the Second World War. Today, we remain dedicated to transforming the lives of Jewish children in need worldwide and are celebrating 75 years of this vital work. Each year, more than 19,000 Jewish children rely on us to save them from disadvantage, deprivation, abuse and neglect through a range of projects focussing on Health, Equipment, Education, Activities and Therapy. Since the start of the pandemic, the number of grant applications we receive has doubled. Meanwhile, the costs our partners face to provide their specialised care for children has increased as a result of Covid-19, the ongoing war in Ukraine and the cost-of-living crisis. That is why we are launching our ‘Transforming Lives’ Match Giving campaign on Sunday 19th June. Your help is urgently needed to increase Jewish Child’s Day’s financial assistance for our partners here in the UK and across the globe. With your support, during the 36 hours of our campaign, we can transform the lives of even more children in need, through even more projects, in even more locations.
