Last September 7, 2022, St Joseph School of Gagalangin officially launched the SciMath Month’s culminating activities with the theme: “Masciyahin at Mathalinong Josephians: Babangon at Palaging handa sa hamon ng panahon” for the Josephians ranging from the grade school to the senior high school department to take part in throughout the month The event was launched online through Zoom, where all the students were gathered in one meeting The school has celebrated SciMath Month as an annual affair to recognize the importance of Science and Math in our daily routines

This year’s SciMath month has offered various culminating activities for the Josephians, such as SCINEMATH, open for senior high school students This activity required the students to film a mini vlog or documentary around the given theme SCIMATH WONDERS, also available for the senior high school department, was conducted onsite, where the chosen representatives competed to complete a puzzle called “TANGRAMS ” SCIMATHINIK, a quiz bee about the basic knowledge of science and math, was open for both the grade school and the junior high school departments. The coordinators arranged many more competitions, such as SCILYMPICS for the SJS personnel, SCIMATH WONDERS LOOK-A-LIKE for grades 4-6 students, LITTLE SCIENTISTS for grades 1-3, and SCIMATH IDOL for the junior high school department

The closing of SciMath month was held on September 27 after the SCIMATHINIK quiz bee With the help and total effort of all the subject teachers of the Science and Mathematics departments, the said event was successfully held and accomplished by the Josephians

SJS’S FIRST HYFLEX PROGRAM: THE LAUNCHING AND CULMINATING ACTIVITY OF THE ENGLISH GUIDANCE AND LIBRARY MONTH

November is well-known by the students as a month of literature, roleplays, and spoken performances And on November 9, 2022, St Joseph School of Gagalangin succeeded in delivering with the launching of The English, Guidance, and Library Month With the launch, St Joseph School held its first HYFLEX program And though the online attendees experienced technical difficulties with the Zoom stream, the onsite attendees were enthusiastic as they gathered around the Manotoc Covered Court to share an event held like this for the first time since the pandemic The Students, on-site and online, wore decorative face masks and character shirts that align with this year’s theme: “Nurturing Filipino Culture and Heritage through Reading and Literacy ” The program began with a message by the school’s beloved Principal and was followed by a recap of the previous year’s activities The English, Library, and Guidance Department then announced the programs and contests for this year’s English, Library, and Guidance Month This enthusiastic launch was then, of course, followed by the execution of each activity The younger grade levels channeled their skills in spelling with the spelling bee held for the students from Grades 1-3 and Grades 4-6 The students from Grades 46 also honed their acting skills for the character portrayal contest At the same time, the older students were challenged with their own set of activities Students from Grades 7 & 8 showed their mastery in declamation

While students from Grades 9-10 presented their skills in spoken poetry And lastly, the Senior High School students gave astounding Speech Choir performances Each event was handled by the English, Library, and Guidance Departments with the help of the Josephian Diadem The Josephians showed their skills in spoken performances, spelling, and writing, as exhibited in the Poetry Writing Competition held Each winner and participant was enthusiastic and showed the qualities of a true Josephian, not only with their skills and talents but also their sportsmanship This year’s English, Library, and Guidance month succeeded, and with the on-site contests, the Josephians started to feel the sense of normalcy they had before the pandemic was back

The Student Coordinating Body (SCB) and St Joseph School Personnel organized two exciting holiday events: The Station ID and SCB's Caroling for a Cause These events brought joy and warmth to the school community during the festive season

The Station ID was shot within the SJS campus and captured the spirit of Christmas and the unity among the school personnel Starting on December 6, the staff and faculty collaborated to create a heartwarming video showing their collective dedication and love for the school Using the song, Love Together, Hope Together by the GMA Christmas ID 2021, which aimed to spread joy and inspire the school community as they celebrated the holiday together

On December 21, the SCB organized the Caroling for a Cause event, hosted on its official Facebook page The event featured talented singers such as Kaella Mortega, Mr JV Santiago, and Jasmine Danting, who sang song requests with a short dedication message It also featured some brave Josephians who wanted to showcase their talents to the school The SCB, led by its chairpersons, worked diligently to bring the joy of caroling to the virtual world, ensuring that the festive spirit reached every corner of the school community

The Caroling for a Cause event served a dual p encouraged to donate and contribute to the cause, knowing that their generosity would support the SCB's future endeavors in creating engaging and memorable activities for the school

The student council and SJS personnel held these holiday events to celebrate the season's joy They highlighted the unity and spirit of giving within the St Joseph School Gagalangin community.

The Station ID showcased the dedication and love of the entire school personnel, fostering a sense of pride and togetherness The Caroling for a Cause event allowed the school community to unite virtually, enjoying the enchanting performances while supporting a worthy cause

SJS CELEBRATES CATHOLIC TEACHERS' DAY AND GIRLS AND BOYS WEEK 2023

Last February 1, 2023, at the Manotoc Covered Court, The St Joseph School’s Personnel was able to enjoy a face-to-face program organized by the Student Coordinating Body (SCB) and the Parents’ Coordinating Body (PCB)

This year’s celebration was utterly different from the previous years; St Joseph school is back to on-site events Mainly, the purpose of this event is to show gratitude towards the school Personnel and to commemorate the efforts and hard work of our Teachers

The first part of the celebration was celebrated per classroom First, each section was tasked to organize a simple celebration for their class advisers Each was also assigned non-teaching Personnel day with

The individual room program ran for around 2-3 hours, and while each section was having its party, the program at the Manotoc Covered Court was already being prepared

Before the program, in honor of the Boys and Girls Week and as a form of gratitude to those students who accepted the challenge to be a studentteacher, an awarding ceremony was held at the Manotoc Covered Court right before the program started The SCB Officers prepared games and performances that each Personnel would enjoy The Josephians also prepared performances for the Personnel, from Grade School to Senior High School; they further showed their talents to give entertainment and to show their gratitude to the School Personnel After the performance, the Personnel enjoyed a meal prepared by the PCB

Moreover, during their performance, the SCB Officers distributed “the gift” from the Josephians, a tote bag with a quote, “To the world you may just be a Teacher, but for the Josephians you are a real hero ”

In addition to this, St Joseph School celebrated Boys and Girls’ Week last January 2327, 2023 Because of the week-long festivity, Josephians experience the life of a hardworking teacher The students taught their schoolmates as their respective subject teachers chose them Indeed, the Josephians enjoyed this experience, thanks to the school admins and the teachers
