First of all, social media is a type of medium wherein we can release our thoughts, share what we feel with others, and rant or vent out our feelings through the use of the internet Social media has a lot of purposes; it can even help our economy as it can help small businesses grow However, social media also has a hidden dark side

The negativities found within this ark side of the internet can affect one’s mental health and one’s selfesteem This is why we should learn how to use social media properly, as too much social media may affect us and, as a result, cause too many issues

As a member of Gen Z, I will usually dig into the newest issues today While we spend our time encountering these topics with enjoyment, it is also important that we remind ourselves of the credibility of our sources We must avoid fake news, as fake news is also inevitable We must seek out credible sources and read the statement thoroughly, or we might as well avoid the issue. As I scroll through my Twitter timeline, different issues and topics are being discussed, and I’m glad that there are people who are willing to understand the side of others. But, we cannot avoid those people who disagree with our statements, and it’s normal; we all have our own stances and opinions. On the web, users usually rant off their thoughts about occurring issues. Some of them even persuade others to support their agendas, and they even provide statements that can show transparency about the truth behind the issue. But after all, these issues are just topics that are circulating on the internet. We can always take a rest and breathe from these issues, as too much toxicity that we may absorb from them may greatly affect our health too.
