Following the event was the Turnover Ceremony, wherein selected students of junior and senior high school attendees took part in making a public affirmation concerning their responsibilities as juniors to fulfill the position of the upcoming senior graduates dance presentation for the Cotillion De Honor This gave way to the anticipated socialization, where promenades took the dance floor under the glamour of lights and music
The Junior-Senior Prom, the most awaited event of St Joseph School’s (SJS) Grades 10 and 12 students, commenced at the Manila Hotel last February 10, 2023, with the theme, “IRIDESCENT: A tale of young Filipino dreams,” wherein the juniors and seniors wore formal gowns, tuxedos, Filipiñanas, and Barong Tagalogs with a touch of modernism of the Filipino culture
The grand entrance marked the beginning of the night Students entered the Maynila Ballroom and walked with composure towards the stage to be presented with their partners for the event by the Master of Ceremonies, Ms Ma Jazmin F Lyon, and Ms Denisse Aimee Tavares Opening Remarks was conducted by the School Director, Rev Fr Nolan A Que, succeeding to a special message from the School Principal, Dr Jesusa L Bulotano
As the evening continued, the attendees were served a dinner buffet after the ceremonial toast made by Mr Joey Calagui, the Center for Christian Formation Officer of SJS While everyone was relishing their delectable meals, audio-visual presentations edited by the students that showed their captured memories throughout the school year were displayed
Finally, the highlight of the night began at dusk when the selected students of grades 10 and 12 performed their
Before concluding the evening, the announcement of winners for different categories of the JS Prom commenced It includes the Best Dressed, Face of the Night, Darling of the Night, Prom Prince and Princess, as well as the Prom King and Queen
The formal event has come to an end as the Closing Remarks and Final Blessing were made by Fr Nolan A Que The students took their final pictures with their class advisers before finally exiting the ballroom, culminating in an unforgettable night for the juniors and seniors
